Arthur and Chun-Yan were outside stargazing. They had finally managed to request a break from work, visit America, and drive out into the countryside (Thank god, Alfred, Arthur's little brother, had an obsession with farm work and horses.) They had decided to go on a picnic on a part of Alfred's vast farm and, on a whim, chose to stay and camp under the sky.
The night sky was beautiful, Arthur thought as he looked up at the night sky. The stars shone with an intensity he had never seen before in the city and the air was fresh and crisp. It was pleasantly cool. A gentle breeze blew through and the grass rustled. He shivered a little and scooted a little closer to his girlfriend. He blinked and turned his head to right when he felt something on his head. Chun-Yan Wang lay next to him on the picnic blanket, one arm hugging his arm, the other moving around. Her free hand soothingly combed through his messy blond hair and somehow found their way onto his abnormally thick eyebrows. She rubbed them and chuckled. "Arthur, your eyebrows. They are larger and fluffier than a hare!"
"Hey! My eyebrows are perfectly normal and you know it! Stop mentioning them!"
"Aiyah! Little Arthur is getting mad, aru! He's going to use his fairy powers now, ooohh!"
"Sod off, it's better than that weird quirk thing you have at the end of your sentences."
Chun-Yan laughed. "We both have weird things about us,aru. Can't change it, but I wouldn't want to." Arthur hummed in agreement. Another breeze blew through, pushing them even closer to each other. They wiggled around until they were comfortable and settled down. Then they turned their attention skyward and stared at the majesty of the stars. What bliss. They both loved the nights where they just spent time enjoying each others' company, not arguing or anything equally draining.
"Arthur?"
"What is it, love?"
"I would not trade nights like these for the world, aru."
"Me either."
Yeah, now he was absolutely certain.
Arthur loved nights like these.
