"So tell me again why we're doing this?" a woman asked as she stripped a woman of her clothing, the others in her team sighed and tried their best to ignore the red haired woman "Why the hell do we have to dress like these Anbu whatever's?" a white haired young man sighed as he tightened the chest plate on himself, his own team were already ready to go; he couldn't believe how difficult it was finding someone with the same build as himself.
"I've told you Rin," the man sighed in annoyance, "the Anbu are a secret and not so well known branch of Shinobi."
"So?" Rin asked as she fitted the hard shoes on her feet, her brow started ticking when she realized that the boot was slightly too small for her calf, she would need to leave that unhooked if she wanted to wear the boots.
"These Anbu lead lives full of assassinations, infiltrations, sabotage and even espionage." Explained another woman as she thumped Rin, she swished her bright orange hair over her shoulder as she dogged a fist from Rin. "Think before you speak girl."
"Rarin! Don't tell me what to do!" Rin snapped out as she readied her fist for another strike, the white haired man sighed again
"Rin listen," the white haired man ordered, he immanently had her attention "Although most of these Anbu protect the boarders of their village and its surrounding lands. Very few are actually within the hidden village itself," a look of understanding fell on Rin's impish face.
"I see!" Rin called out, her hazel green eyes dancing "So in order to get into Konoha no Sato we're taking over a team of Anbu, or two, so we can have an easier time searching for our target!"
"Shut up," Groaned another woman, "I can't belief you didn't think of that sooner, such a disappointment."
"Shut up Kamine!" Rin cried out, her fist raised and ready to strike "Don't make me hit you!" the other red haired woman snorted,
"You couldn't hit me if your life depended on it," Kamine drawled smugly, Rin pulled back her fist ready to prove the woman wrong when the white haired man snapped out at them.
"Enough!" he roared, his team of eight stiffened in their placements, "We're not here to argue, we're here for the flow—get in your placements!" the eight people quickly did as they were told, and they each launched themselves into the tall trees that surrounded them.
"I hate the Land of fire!" Rin suddenly cried out, "Why did she have to hide here of all places? It's boring and constant, there's no excitement in the air!" her teammates either sighed or ignored the woman entirely.
"Shut up already!" Kamine snapped "If you keep that up we'll get attached again, we need to be stealthy to enter and leave without anyone noticing us!"
"Both of you shut up," growled a young man with short orange hair, "Or I'll leave you behind to play with the watchers." Both women smirked at him and fell silent, "Thank the goddess," he sighed under his breath.
"Dibs on the woman!" Rin cried out as she launched herself ahead of her team
"Not if I get her first!" Kamine cried as she rushed after Rin with her sword drawn.
"Spoke too soon," another man mumbled softly as they landed on the ground gracefully, "How long is this going to take? Others are coming here pretty fast…"
"I told Rin and Kamine I'd leave them behind if they acted up again," the white haired man drawled as he continued on words, with only the briefest of pauses beside his teammates.
…
…
In the village of Konoha were many oddities could be found, a single strange looking girl could be seen calmly walking the near empty streets of the large village. The wind blew playfully across her face and the fourteen year old girl flung some stray pink hair out of her eyes with a soft smile. She was walking around the village for a reason; she was just having a hard time finding those two little reasons. An image of an older blond woman floated through the girl's mind, her words ringing loudly in the pink haired girl's ears.
The girl heaved a heavy sigh as she brushed more hair out of her eyes that was when she saw one of her objects she was searching for. A young man was leaning against a red bridge, his azure eyes down cast and lost in memory as he starred down at the softly moving river below him. His normally smiling whisker scared face was set and concentrated and his wild, windblown blond hair sat down around his face as if he had gotten wet and hadn't bothered with drying off yet. Smiling affectionately, the girl approached the boy and stopped a few feet away from him, seeing that he apparently didn't notice her; the girl frowned slightly at the boy.
"Naruto," the girl whined loudly with her hands on her hip, "What are you doing now?" Naruto turned to the pink haired girl, they were at their bridge were Team seven often met at; at least before everything changed.
"Oh Sakura!" Naruto said "I was just- just- I wasn't doing anything…" Naruto gave a fake smile as his eyes wondered back down to the river flowing beneath them. Sakura stared at him, what was she supposed to say to that? It was such an obvious lie that Sakura was having a hard time not slapping the boy for coming up such a lame excuse. Sakura sighed and leaned against the bridge beside her teammate, after a moment of silence Sakura decided to say something, anything that would get his mind off of whatever he was thinking of.
"So how you've been doing? I heard that Jiraya-sama has been teaching you a little here and there." Sakura said, trying to distract her team mate.
"Yeah! I'm learning all kinds of new things, purvey sage is kind of fun that way!" Naruto said with a chuckle, as if remembering something from earlier that day. Sakura gave a deep sigh, she knew that expression; it was the face Naruto gave when he was disappointed in himself, which meant he screwed up big time.
"Okay, let's go." Sakura said as she walked past Naruto with a light tap on his head.
"Huh?"
"I'll buy the ramen, you just order as much as you want." Sakura said as she turned back to Naruto with a wink. The last thing she needed was a depressed Naruto, she was feeling down as it was and she wasn't about to leave a depressed Naruto—who could bring down a whole village with his one pouty look alone.
"Oh, okay! So it's like a date?" Naruto asked jokingly, his smile back on his face, he walked next to her, talking about the different kinds of ramen he would start eating at his favorite ramen bar. He continued talking as they waited for their ramen bowls, he was quite as he ate, but as soon as he was done he was back to talking again. This time a little more hesitantly, he tried some jokes, they weren't funny but Sakura chuckled at him all the same. Trying her best to make him feel better, even if it meant acting like an amused elder sister, at least Naruto was feeling better now.
"And then Jiraya-Sensei—" Naruto began, his energy back at full tilt and his eyes a light with his entertainment of the memory. But Naruto was never able to finish his story, because right at that moment Anbu, a branch section in the shinobi village, surrounded them. "What the—"
"What's going on here?" Sakura half heartedly asked, turning her back to Naruto, just in case they weren't friendly, Naruto also turned his back to Sakura, the memory of the last Chunin exams coming to mind.
"Ms. Haruno, you are to fallow us to lady Hokage, now." Ordered one of the Anbu member's, Sakura's eyes peered at him sideways from her position; where had she heard that voice before? Naruto visibly relaxed and chuckled to himself.
"Oh well if it's just Grandma Tsunade, then there's no threat, right Sakura?" Naruto asked, a smile split across his face, "There was no reason for us to act like they were going to hurt us, like some tried during the chunin exams." Sakura didn't relax; in fact her hand readied itself at the hilt of her Kunai pouch, her eyes narrowed at the shinobi around her.
"Not quite, Naruto." Sakura replied, watching the Anbu wirily. Naruto looked at her funny for a moment, before he returned his hands to his sides; he looked almost relaxed, if not for the fact his fingers traced one of his knifes nervously.
"You care to clarify, Sakura?" Naruto asked, he was completely serious, now wasn't the time to joke around.
"Why didn't Tsunade-sama just call for me through Shizune? Instead of sending two teams of Anbu after me?" Sakura asked, she knew she couldn't take on Anbu, but she could at least run away to find help if nothing else.
"Because Tsunade has asked for an emergency meeting, she wants you at her office NOW." Another Anbu member stressed, But Sakura only readied herself into a defensive stance, a kunai knife in each hand. Naruto quickly fallowed after her, but was slightly hesitant to use it, neither one of them were strong enough to take on Anbu.
"Sakura, are we really going to fight off two teams of Anbu?" Naruto asked, he knew he stood at least half a chance, but he wasn't so sure that Sakura could.
"No Naruto, we're going to fight so we can run away, we need to get to Tsunade-sama as quickly as possible." Sakura said calmly, she readied herself to fight and flee if given the first chance.
"Okay," Naruto said "but can't we do that without getting into a fight, I mean Anbu here is only going to escort us to Grandma Tsunade anyways."
"No Naruto, haven't you been listening?" Sakura asked calmly, "These guys aren't Anbu, Anbu don't call Tsunade-sama, 'Tsunade'. They call her Hokage-sama." Sakura narrowed her eyes at the surrounding Anbu, it was basic knowledge that most shinobi called Tsunade 'Hokage' and that a select few called Tsunade, Tsunade-sama; Anbu weren't a part of that select few. The Anbu man who spook first chuckled, his hand went to the sheath of his sword.
"Of course, of course," the man chuckled, Sakura narrowed her eyes at him, he sounded familiar; Sakura just couldn't place where she'd heard him before. She didn't want to get into a fight; expersherly with people who out ranked her and could easily kill her and Naruto without a second thought.
"As the dead flower, it's only natural that you could see through us." Sakura's eyes widened in horror, now she remembered who he was, how could she forget? The man chuckled again, he reached up and removed his mask and glared at the two children before him.
"What the—" Naruto didn't get to finish what he was going to say, because at that moment one of the men moved forward and hit him harshly in the stomach.
"Naruto!" Sakura shouted out, she turned and caught him, ready to flee if they charged her. But the attaching Anbu simply jumped back to his previous position, the man who removed his mask chuckled again.
"Don't worry, he won't die, yet." Sakura glared up at the blue eyed man before her. "We don't want him to hear something that he shouldn't, we could always kill him if you want; dead flower." The man mocked almost playfully, but there was a seriousness there that frightened Sakura; she knew not to show her fear—that would only encourage him.
"What do you want, Kisu?" Sakura asked her voice full of venom, the man simply laughed at her.
"Awe, the little flower decided to show her thorns at her master, how cute." The man called Kisu cooed softly. "You know why we're here," when he received no reply he continued "If you return with us, we'll leave your precious friends alone."
"And my village?" Sakura asked, her eyes narrow and untrusting I must protect my village no matter what!
"Yes, yes, we'll leave everyone loyal to Konoha alone and in peace, deal?" Sakura chewed on her bottom lip before her shoulders slumped, her eyes closed in defeat.
"Exhalent!" Kisu cried out, his lips stretching out across his face in an unnatural smile. "We'll leave immanently!"
"Sakura!" Sakura and her family members dogged the attach just in time, the paper bombs exploded right where Kisu was standing. Catching a glimpse of a boy and a white dog, Sakura raised her chakra infused foot and kicked a nearby woman with it as harshly as she could. She hoped the sickening crunching was the woman's ribs and that one of her lungs got punctured. Sakura took advantage of the momentary confusion and grabbed Naruto harshly around his shoulders and jumped to the roofs. She carried Naruto over her shoulder, using her chakra to give her strength and speed, Sakura rushed towards the Hokage tower as fast as she could.
"Catch the flower." Kisu called with a smug grin, four of his 'Anbu' members left after Sakura and her teammate, two others stayed behind. While one checked the woman, one distracted the two boys who surprised them; Kisu looked around the empty street and eyed a girl who was standing in a strange stance a few feet away from him. Hearing an unexpected explosion in the next street over, Kisu sighed as he reached for his weapons pouch. "I guess we should go and help catch the flower."
"Master Kisu, Rin can't fallow." Said the man who was checking the kicked woman, Kisu stopped and stared at the bone carved face of a bird. The girl who was before him charged, only to get distracted by his attaching team mate, now the team of three was taking on one man; and still they weren't landing any hits. "She has three broken ribs and one of them has punctured her left lung. If she doesn't get help soon she'll die."
"If she's going to be useless again, then send her home. We can't do anything for her, not innless she wants' to get killed." Kisu said heartlessly, honestly, why does it seem that it's always Rin getting hurt?
"We could take her to the hospital here, they shouldn't ask too many questions, if they belief us to be their Anbu." The last member of Kisu's team spook up at last. Kisu smiled at the man and nodded his consent, the sounds of that battle with Sakura were starting to get interesting; and he wanted a bite of that fight. His two teammates through some dust at the children and quickly jumped away to the buildings higher up before splitting up into two different directions, Kisu and his third teammate headed towards Sakura while the man with the bird mask took the woman to the hospital.
Unfortunately when Kisu finally reached his small team on the other side of buildings, he saw two very unexpected things. The first was the arrival of the real Anbu members of Leaf, the second was two men; one Kisu knew to be Sakura's teacher, the other made Kisu really want to gag.
"This looks like fun," Kisu smiled behind his mask, immanently he saw the two fractions separate, Kakashi and the green monster surrounded Sakura and her knocked out teammate, the real Anbu surrounded Kakashi and the green man protectively.
"I came to collect a dead flower and I find a crow, some scattered leaves and a hideous green monster that can't seem to dress to save his life." Kisu chuckled as his men surrounded the leaf-nin on the surrounding buildings.
"Well that's not a very youthful comment." Gai said slightly put out, he glanced down at Sakura and Naruto. Who's the dead flower?
"Who are you? Are you apart of Akatsuki?" Kakashi demanded, he didn't see Sakura flinch. Sakura bit at her lip nervously, how the hell was she supposed to explain this?
"So what do you want with them?" Gai asked loudly, "Why are you attaching leaf shinobi?"
"Awe, that's not nice Hatake Kakashi." Kisu said calmly, holding back his laughter. "I just said that I was after a dead flower, I don't recall saying anything about a worthless fox." He couldn't hold back his laughter anymore, Kisu just had to chuckle at the white haired Jonin below him, Kakashi glanced at his two remaining students.
"You know me, but I don't know you. Care to introduce yourself?" Kakashi snapped, he didn't know what was going on, but he was very mad that this was twice in one year that imposters had stolen and impersonated the Anbu.
So he's not after Naruto, he spook of a 'dead flower' that can't be Sakura, she's very much alive, so she's out. Kakashi thought to himself, he readied himself once more at the foreign ninja surrounding them. They're not after Sasuke, he's in Oto. But that leaves Naruto, and he said he wasn't after any foxes... But then why attach Naruto and Sakura? Did they stumble upon them collecting their 'dead flower' accidently?
"Of course, that's what one should do when meeting a teacher of one's family member shouldn't they?" Kisu agreed, he loved how confused his opponents looked as they glared furiously at him, he jumped down from his perch and landed a good distance away from the leaf shinobi; His own team landing behind him.
"Are you sure about this master?" one of the men asked as all of the ninja behind Kisu raised their hands to their masks. Glancing at Sakura, Kisu caught the full hit of her furious green glare that was mixed with worry, regret and fear.
"Of course, it'll be fun to see them turn on one of their own." Kisu said calmly, Kakashi glared at him specifically. So he has sharp ears, this'll be interesting.
"Take them off everybody; let's introduce our selves to the intruders." Kisu chuckled again, as each leaf shinobi readied themselves, Kakashi scoffed at Kisu and his glare turned even colder; he didn't appear to care about what they looked like, that was interesting all on its own. So he hasn't put two and two together yet, that's almost disappointing…
"That's rich, coming from you." Kakashi snapped out, his kunai knifes ready, Kisu chuckled again, he couldn't help it; this Kakashi was funny and the little flower wasn't much better. She knew that if she just got up and walked over to them then none of this would be happening, all she had to was return to them and then they'd leave and no one would be the wiser.
"Now, now Kakashi-sensei; are you telling me that your precious little student didn't tell you anything? How very rude flower, you should always introduce your family to your teachers." Kisu said mockingly, Sakura glared at him hatefully. Kakashi glanced briefly at his students, but he was still confused. This stranger was talking about family and his students, but Naruto was an orphan and Sakura seemed to really hate these people. But then again, she also refused to look at any of them, for the exception of that man who was speaking.
"Little flower," Kisu cooed softly, Sakura stiffened and huddled herself over Naruto protectively, "Aren't you going to introduce us?" It was strange to see Sakura with such a hateful look on her face, her eyes were filled with so much anger that they were almost cold looking. Perhaps she really did know these strange people who attached her, could she really be related to these people?
"Don't touch them," Sakura growled lowly "You damned monster!"
"Why flower you wound me," Kisu mocked, his hand gripped at his chest just above his heart, his sarcasm rang loudly in Sakura's ears.
The man before him had icy white hair and cold icy blue eyes and pale skin, but that wasn't what stilled him. The man's team consisted of mostly different shades of red heads with a touch of hot pink and some had orange hair, but they all had Sakura's emerald green eyes, her soft brow and her gentile sloped jaw. There wasn't any doubt that these people could be related to Sakura, to Kakashi it was like saying that Sasuke and Itachi weren't related. Kakashi looked back at his opponents and nearly choked on his surprise.
"Return to your family, little flower..." Kakashi didn't have time to respond, the blue eyed man was before him; his fist in his stomach. With the wind knocked out of him, Kakashi had little choice but to collapse; he didn't even know that people could move that fast!
"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura screamed, the rest of the damasked 'Anbu' headed straight for the real Anbu, this time they didn't waste any time, it was only moments before they were motionless on the ground; only Gai remained untouched. He continued standing protectively in front of Sakura as she huddled over her down teammates, he could see the similarities between the strange shinobi and the pink haired girl of team 7.
Sakura held Kakashi next to her, there was no way she could flee and carry both of them; but she could at least get her teammates out of the way as she ran full tilt. Gai swung a kick at the man before Sakura; Kisu simply dogged and retreated a few steps.
"Now, now, that wasn't very nice. Flower why don't you tell these fools to stop getting in our way? I promise we won't hurt them or anyone else, if you just come home with us." Kisu smiled at Sakura, it was cold and empty and did nothing more than make Sakura crouch over Naruto and Kakashi protectively with an almost predatory snarl.
"Sakura-san, so you do know these strangers?" Gai asked calmly as he took his place beside his fallen comrade. "Who are these Anbu impersonating fools?" Sakura didn't look at him; she just glared at the blue eyed man standing before them.
"His name is Kisu," Sakura growled, Gai's head swiveled to look down at Sakura, his eyes almost wide, "and he is the most powerful in the clan." Kakashi sighed and gently pushed Sakura away from him. "Sensei you shouldn't be moving yet! He'll kill you!" Kakashi briefly hesitated, before he completed moving onto his knees. "He's stronger then Zabuza! He won't hesitate! Please reconsider Sensei, if you don't he'll kill you for sure!"
Kakashi stiffened slightly before his decision was made, if he was going to fight this man, then he'd would need the Sharingan; he just had to time it right and he could catch the man off guard.
"Awe Flower, you say that like it's a bad thing." Kisu smiled sweetly, Sakura and Kakashi glared at him; Kisu couldn't hold back that insasionable bubbling in his chest, he just had to laugh at them.
"You are foreign ninja, how dare you enter this village and create an international incident." Gai called out, Kakashi nodded his head in agreement. "Just why do you plan on taking Sakura-san? What is she to you?" Kisu raised an eyebrow before he glanced at Sakura and shrugged a shoulder lazily.
"She has a use for us," Kisu replied calmly, before he gave them a mocking smile "She's just special that way."
"What's so special about her?" Kakashi asked calmly as he struggled to his feet, Sakura tugged at his sleeve worriedly, ignoring the pain that stabbed into her chest. "There are thousands of medics nationwide, so it can't be for her talent as a medic-nin. She doesn't come from any kind of clan, just an average civilian family." he was trying to narrow down the reasons why they might want Sakura, but his deductions lead to nothing but her ridicules control of Chakra; but without training even that wasn't very useful. "I know it's not her lack of talent for Taijutsu,"
"Kisu leave them alone!" Sakura snapped out coldly hoping he'd focus on her for a moment, why won't they just leave? They know I'll fallow, but I can't until they stop involving everyone else!
"Just what do you want from Sakura?" Gai asked, as he noticed that Kisu was flat out glaring at Kakashi.
"Not from a clan is she?" Kisu growled out, Kakashi's eyes narrowed at him; slowly he retched for his head band, ready to move it out of his way. "Just from a civilian family is she?" Kakashi was beginning to get slightly nervous from that unblinking glare; he lifted his head band and stared at the intruder with his one Sharingan eye.
"She is from the great Haruno clan!" Kisu snapped out and kicked Kakashi in the chest, bringing him to his feet, Kakashi hadn't even seen him move; the Sharingan didn't even track him!
"We are the Haruno clan!" Kisu snarled out in Kakashi's ear before Kakashi found himself flying through the air.
"Sensei!" Sakura cried as she covered Naruto protectively. "Don't hurt them!"
"We are not some civilian family! How dare you say that we are!" Kisu just couldn't stop hitting Kakashi, not giving the gray haired man time to block or protect himself. "We could wipe out this whole village in a single night if we so wished!" Kisu snapped out, Sakura flinched. "We could start our own war with the five nations and still come out on top!" Kisu just kept hitting Kakashi until he finally hit the ground, and then he just pummeled him.
"We are more powerful than your 'great Uchiha'! We're faster than even your precious Hyūga!" Kisu barked out, "Konoha doesn't have a chance in hell against us Haruno!" Gai starred wide eyed at the man beating Kakashi, even if he did interfere, what could he do? He couldn't even see this man's movements.
The leaf Anbu couldn't even stand from their attackers, each of the intruders were crouching next to their immobile enemy almost protectively. Slowly Gai returned his eyes back to Sakura, she had pink hair and green eyes, she only shared small facial details with these people; maybe the strange blue eyed man had gotten the wrong pink haired girl? But Kisu's words troubled him, he had never heard of a clan more powerful then the Uchiha or any clan that was faster than the Hyūga.
"Sakura, is there really a Haruno clan?" Gai asked softly as he crouched next to her, hesitantly Sakura slowly nodded her head, her eyes closed as if she resigned herself to her fate. "And your apart of it?" another slow nod, Gai looked at the man who was beating Kakashi without care that he wasn't responding. He could ask his other questions later, for now he had to help Kakashi, and without another glance he rushed forward blocking a fist that was to Kakashi's head.
"What? Get out of the way!" snapped Kisu as he charged at Kakashi again, Gai grabbed his gray haired friend and jumped away from the furious man. To say he was glad he dogged that blow would be an understatement, the ground ruptured underneath the man's fist; if Gai hadn't been there he would have sworn that Tsunade had hit there.
"Good thing I pulled you away when I did, have you been receiving those kinds of hits this entire time Kakashi?" Gai asked as he landed, before his friend could answer another voice screamed out.
"KISU—" Sakura cried out, tears gathering in her eyes. "I'LL LEAVE!" Sakura cried out, her voice echoing in the air around her and stilling everyone who heard, the white haired man froze mid strike.
"I'll leave with you so stop hurting them!" Gai looked around Kisu to stare at Sakura with wide eyes; she was still holding Naruto protectively as she kept her eyes on the other strangers. "Please Kisu! Stop!" Kisu growled at Kakashi and Gai before he turned around and advanced on Sakura once more.
"S-sa-ku- ra—" Kakashi mumbled from his swollen lips, for once Gai was glad he couldn't see Kakashi's face; it frightened him to think what kind of state Kakashi was in. Gai sighed and pulled Kakashi closer to him, Kisu was furious; he'd never had anyone stop his fight before, that was a flat out disgrace to him. Kisu crouched before Sakura; he cupped Sakura's face with a hand and gave her a bone chilling smile
"I'll take you back in a moment," Kisu said coldly "I just have to teach these two a lesson then we'll be on our way, okay?"
"No," Sakura mumbled as Kisu stood and marched towards Gai and Kakashi, "If you kill them I'll never forgive you!" Kisu barely hesitated, his hand twitched slightly as he continued towards Gai.
"Leave them alone! Don't hurt them!" but Kisu pulled his fist back and readied for attach, Guy readied himself. "I told you I'd leave!"
"Human Cocoon jutsu!" a voice called out at the same time as Sakura's desperate scream, a black cloud sprang to life before Kisu forcing him to jump back words. Sakura gasped as she watched the black cloud try to get Kisu like huge clutching hands.
"Eight Trigrams: Thirty-Two Palms!" called another familiar soft voice, Sakura choked on a startled cry as Hinata burst from the insects and slammed her palms into Kisu repeatedly.
"Hinata look out!" Sakura cried, the blue haired girl watched as the man before her disappeared into a black haired boy a little younger then she was. Hinata gasped as she realized that the white haired man had performed a substitution jutsu, Kisu grabbed Hinata's ankles.
"Earth style: head hunter Jutsu!" Hinata cried out as she was forced underground, her hands firmly pinned in the earth just far enough away to prevent her from making any hand signs. "Well your different," Kisu smirked down at Hinata, he toyed with a kunai in his right hand playfully as he held Hinata's face with his other hand, forcing her to look into his eyes.
"Fang over Fang!" Kisu jumped back as two twirling purple things crashed just inches away from Hinata's face barreling into the earth just deep enough to free Hinata's arms; Kisu watched as two forms emerged from the spinning drills.
"You're it?" Kisu asked as he starred at the identical boys, "I was expecting an Inuzuka but you're not who I had in mind boy."
"What the hell man!" Kiba cried out as he pointed a finger at him "Who the hell were you expecting?!"
"Your sister," Kisu dead panned, Kiba gapped at the white haired man completely stunned at the answer, "her name is Hana isn't? Does she have a boyfriend?" it took Kiba several minutes to realize what Kisu was saying and when he did his face flushed a bright crimson that almost hid his red tattoos.
"That's none of your damn business!" Kiba roared out, "You stay the hell away from her!" Kisu barked out a laughed as Kiba and Akamaru, disguised as Kiba, charged at him
"Sakura!" Sakura looked up in time to catch a kunai that was thrown at her, seeing the tag lit and ready, Sakura's eyes winded and she quickly through it away from her; briefly realizing a little too late that Kisu was going to be one very unhappy camper. Sakura covered Naruto as the explosion went off, she actually felt herself skid across the dirt covered road a whole three feet.
"Flower!" roared out a familiar voice, Sakura raised her head to see a fist swing towards her…only it never came. Sakura opened her eyes when she realized that the afternoon sun was blocked from her face.
"Neji!" Sakura gasped at the white shirt and black short clad boy that stood protectively in front of her, his brown hair swinging to gently rest back into its rightful place.
"Sakura are you alright?" Tenten asked softly as she landed next to the pinkette, Sakura's eyes swiveled to the brunet girl in something akin to awe.
"Y-yeah" Sakura mumbled as she looked up at Kisu through her bangs, "thanks…" Sakura ignored the strange look Tenten gave her in favor of biting her lip, Sakura stood from her place and took two steps away from Neji and Tenten. Sakura glanced at Neji worriedly, knowing full well that it would only be a moment's second for him to spin and knock her out. Lee and Kisu were busily in a one sided Taijutsu spare and once Sakura was sure that Neji's and Tenten's focused was on the fight, she quickly took a few steps towards Kisu and raised her voice for all to hear.
"Formation Ino–Shika–Chō!" Sakura turned to look back at her cousins in confusion, her voice hadn't sounded when a new one echoed in the air around her. Sakura watched in amazement as her cousins each jumped in the air to avoid a rather massive hand that was aimed at them, then they had to avoid the horde of shuriken and kunai while in mid air.
"Secret Technique: Insect Sphere!" Sakura watched in awe as a mass of bugs flew out of nowhere and practically consumed one of her family members.
"Eight Trigrams: Sixty-Four Palms!" there went another member of family soaring through the air. Hearing soft cursing Sakura turned back to Kisu's and Lee's fight, only to see that just beyond them an ANBU Medic was tending to Kakashi and he wasn't happy in the least about his condition. That was when Sakura realized that it was the parents or other family members of the rooky nine that had gotten involved in the fight, Sakura groaned out loud as she rubbed a hand to her tiered face.
"Kisu stop it!" Sakura cried, catching strange looks from Neji and Tenten, she ignored them, "I said I'll leave!" it was as if no one had heard her, because the fighting with her cousins had only gotten worse and before she could run to Kisu, Sakura felt her hand get jerked back words. Her eyes widening, Sakura's head snapped to look back at the person who had yanked on her hand, only to have her eyes show her stares and her cheek stung horribly.
"What the hell are you saying?" Tenten screeched in Sakura's face, the younger girl stared up at her in bewilderment, "You love this village! Why would you just up and leave? Sakura think!" Tenten shouted as she shook Sakura back and forth, "don't talk like that or I'll have to kick your ass!"
"You don't understand…" Sakura bowed her head, her hands clasped together in her lap, Tenten froze in her shaking of the younger girl. "I doubt that you'll ever understand…" before Sakura could blink, Tenten's hand connected with the other side of her cheek, making the slap nearly echo amongst the shouting and cursing of the leaf shinobi fighting.
"Then help me to understand!" Tenten shouted at Sakura "Tell me why you must leave so I can convince you to stay!" hearing a war cry both girls looked up in time to doge a rather ferrous looking kunochi. Skidding to a stop Tenten looked up at the dented earth were the red headed woman stood, Sakura at her back and black gloved hand raised at her threatening.
"BITH YOU'RE DEAD!" cried the red head, Tenten glared right back at the older woman, her stance widening slightly. "DON'T TOUCH HIME!"
"Hime?" Neji and Tenten questioned at the same time, they looked curiously over at a brightly blushing Sakura.
"Will you just SHUT UP!" Sakura yelled at the red head her hands fisting into her skirt, "They don't know anything! So just leave them alone!"
"Clearly they don't know anything!" the woman shouted back, "Other wise they wouldn't dare touch you!"
"Kamine!" Kisu called out as he dodge a round house kick from Lee and a punch from Gai, "Get Flower out of here! She's in danger!" something seemed to flash in the red headed woman's emerald eyes as she turned to Sakura. Kamine nodded her head once to Sakura before she reached her hands out, Sakura flinched slightly as the cold fingers of the woman brushed her arms.
"Sakura!" Sakura's eyes widened when she saw Tenten charge at her and Kamine, Kamine cursed as Tenten's kunai nearly cut her throat; Sakura felt the wind off the blade flash past her bangs.
"Don't do anything stupid!" Tenten shouted as she snapped around her place, Kamine landed a few feet away from Tenten and Sakura, Neji had taken his place to stand between Kamine and a knocked out Naruto.
"Hime!" Kamine shouted worriedly, "Quickly get to cover! One of us will get you to safety!"
"I don't think so!" Tenten shouted as she charged at Kamine, Neji quickly fallowed after her example. Sakura sighed as Kamine dodge Neji's gentle fist style by taking to the air and dodge Tenten's weapons by using earthen shields and kunai and shuriken. Hearing an explosion nearby, Sakura looked up and saw a women with wild brown hair and wolf tag team a tall orange haired man with someone who looked like Ino's father. Sakura stepped back out onto the street and away from the wall that she had jumped toward to avoid her cousin's attach, she looked up and down the street and noticed only one thing…
Konoha seemed to be winning…
Perhaps it would be okay if she stayed in Konoha a little longer…
…
