Baby names are always a source of argeument between couples, with Hale and Kat, it is no different... Rated K, established Hale/Kat, third person POV.
"Hmm…How about Wesley?" Kat asked, looking up thoughtfully from the Baby Name book she was presently reading.
"Wesley wonders why?" Hale said sarcastically from his chair across the room, and Kat sighed heavily.
"Could you please come up with something? Instead of just shooting all of mine down," Kat berated him as she lay on the couch, her hand protectively splayed across her slight baby-bump.
"Whitney?"
"Sounds like a horse's name," Kat told him.
"Walter?"
"Grandpa name…" she sighed out, flipping her page.
"Wade?"
"In the water…" Kat mocked in a sing-song.
"Worthington?"
"I believe we already discussed the hundreds of things I hate about that name," Kat glared at him, and he chuckled.
"Only every time I say my first name. How about Wallace?" Hale asked with a smirk.
"Is worse than Worthington…"
"How about lunch?" Hale asked, and Kat sat up with a smile.
"Chicken with paprika, mash potatoes with onions, and a taco!" Kat exclaimed, and Hale merely shook his head in disgust as he got up to find her food.
'I hate when Marcus has a day off…" Hale whined to himself, barely stepping out of the room before Kat added something.
"Extra banana in my taco!" Kat called, and Hale gave her a questioning look.
"Extra?" Hale asked, and she shrugged.
"Marcus always puts bananas in my tacos…" Kat murmured nervously, and Hale nodded before walking towards the kitchen.
Upon his return Kat was still muttering about the name 'Wesley,' much to Hale's dismay, "It's a really cool name! The smart kid from Star Trek wasn't given that name by accident!"
Hale sighed, and then an idea hit him, "How about you choose the first name, and I choose the middle?"
"I like that! His name is Wesley," Kat told him smugly, and Hale smirked.
"Actually," Hale corrected her with a brilliant smile, "his name is Wesley Worthington Hale…" With that Kat threw her banana filled taco at him…
Short, but its cute! Somehow...I wonder what a banana taco tastes like... *shrugs* Anyway! I hope I didn't offend anyone with those names, I meant nothing by it! :)
