It was raining outside as Taichi and his younger sister hid inside an abandoned building in a deserted part of town. It had been a while since they'd been chased anywhere, and he finally let himself relax a bit.

Beside him, Hikari was taking a nap on the cold cement floor. Taichi wished that he could provide for her better, but they had lost their only blankets a couple of months ago when they had to leave their old temporary base due to strong ADO activity nearby. Therefore, they were forced to work with what little they had left.

Taichi did feel sleepy himself, but after an incident that happened when the siblings were barely getting used to running away from the ADO, they had agreed that it was better for them to take turns keeping watch.

As he leaned against the hard wall, Taichi's thoughts drifted back to Agumon, who was still in the Digital World, and his friends that were on the run as well. He was especially worried for Yamato. He had changed so much since their adventure, and Taichi was afraid that he would resolve to his old ways during the dark times they were stuck in. He was sure that Takeru was looking after him as best he could, but he couldn't forget that Yamato was usually the one doing the saving. What if he took it too far one day?

Hikari made a small noise next to him, which interrupted his worrying. Just watching his sister sleep gave Taichi new-found hope. Bearing the crest of light, it didn't surprise him. Hikari's light always found its way into everyone's hearts.

He wouldn't let the ADO harm any of his friends, even Jyou and Koushiro who were being held in custody last he heard of them. It was about time he did something for a change.

But what?

"Tailmon..." she whispered beneath her breath.

Taichi smiled as he patted her head. She must be having dreams of her digimon partner. He hoped that it was a good one instead of some nightmare. But judging from her slight grin, he expected it was the latter.

At that moment, he wished that he was doing the same. Maybe a pretend conversation with Agumon that his brain was making up would make him feel more at ease.

He quickly took a peek out the window in case there were agents outside, but didn't spot any. With a sigh, he took out his phone and set the timer for ten minutes. It wansn't much, but he hoped it was enough to send him to dream land.

He laid down next to his sister, slinging an arm around her for protection and closed his eyes. It was dangerous to even consider that the ADO would pause their search for his sake, but Taichi's eagerness to carry out his plan was clouding his reason.

It's only ten minutes, he thought. It won't take long.

As soon as he was confortable enough, he felt himself drifting off. Hopefully, he'd see Agumon again, even if he wasn't real.
