Value

A short poem on the topic of value. I wrote it a few years ago as a project for a kid's program at my church. Hope you like it.

Value

Some people may tell you your life is worth nothing,

But God made you special, you're definitely worth something.

Jesus thinks that you are of great value,

He died on this earth, just to save you.

So value does not come from beauty or works,

We are valuable because God gives us worth.

He made us in His image, with wisdom and care,

He promised us always that He would be there.

God wants you to take good care of your life,

But He does not promise that it will be without strife;

So when a day comes by, and takes a turn for the worse,

Remember that life is a gift, not a curse.

Know that God loves you in each and every way,

So be happy with life and don't throw it away.
