The sun arises, it's light and overall visual was mesmerizing and beautiful for any beholder, especially to Sonic. His eyes glimmered at the sight and smiled to himself, taking it all in as the sun rays slowly touched the lands of Mobius with its rays of sunshine.
The Blue Blur absolutely adored the sight, he was atop at the edge of a cliff, looking off into the distance with the sun coming up from behind hills. Despite this, wonderful day, Sonic was occupied with something else in mind.
He sighed calmly and laid his head down on a tree, putting his hands behind his head and crossed his legs as his eyes never left the sun. His eye lids descended halfway down, he was now deep in thought.
He's remembering something, something before he left the world of the Arthurian World behind him, a conversation between him and a person who was reminiscent of someone who he had known for years.
His eyes were now completely closed, finally letting his thoughts and memories flow into his head freely, with no disturbances, and most importantly, no Eggman attacks.
"I um... sorry that I have to go. " He spoke with an apologetic voice, sounding a bit reluctant of leaving the world of Camelot but it wasn't his home to begin with, and he doesn't belong there.
Through his adventures in this world, he made a few companions and friends along the way, one of them was the dashing and enchanting Lady of the Lake, but mostly goes by the name of the enchantress, Nimue.
Although the name and title didn't ring a bell to Sonic when Nimue was first mentioned to him, her physical appearance ultimately shocked him and made him wish he never agreed to meeting Nimue, for she is a doppelganger of a pink hedgehog that Sonic was all too familiar with.
A pink hedgehog whose name was Amy Rose, a very well known admirer of Sonic, she would constantly chase him down with a giant hammer in hand and ask him out on a date as always. It annoys him, but upon meeting Nimue, somehow changed his perspective towards his pink admirer.
Nimue, giggled after he apologized for his departure and shook her head, "There is nothing to be sorry about, I understand. This isn't your home, your home is at Mobius and that's where you belong. " She said, understanding why the blue hedgehog must leave. She enjoyed Sonic's presence but of course, he has to go.
Sonic then took in a deep breath and stepped into the portal, he looked back at Nimue, who took a few steps forward towards Sonic and planted a kiss on Sonic's cheek, making the blue blur blush deeply as the red blush crept across his muzzle, also on his ears.
The enchantress stooped down and bowed, "I shall see you again in the future, Sonic The Hedgehog, Knight Of The Wind. " Nimue said, opening one eye and stared into Sonic's emerald green eye, as Sonic would do the same and look into her jade eyes.
He shook his head, snapping his head out of his trance and chuckled, "You too Nimue. " He said, and entered the portal as it closed behind him.
Sonic sighed, it had been a year and he had been thinking about what Nimue said, that she and him will see each other again. A lot has happened through from just one year, mostly Eggman Empire almost taking over, and by almost it means Eggman's butt got kicked.
The Resistance then decided to help out with the clean up of what the Eggman Empire left behind, badniks, lots and lots of badniks. But because of that, Sonic had seen less of Knuckles and Amy, because they still stayed in the Resistance.
The others? Tails went back to his lab and just went back to making inventions and machines, just chatting with Sonic occasionally when he's free.
Silver traveled back to the future, nothing new about that. Shadow and Rouge simply went back to working in G.U.N. , with Rouge still stealing gems and Shadow reluctantly joining her, they were all busy nevertheless, leaving Sonic running with the wind.
But the thought of Nimue continued to plague his mind, even throughout his adventures now that he's back at Mobius. Sonic can still see her beautiful big baby blue dress flowing everytime he closed his eyes, her enchanting smile and giggle echoed still drives him crazy.
Even though he might never see her again, at least he can still see her face, if he ever gets a chance to look at Nimue's look-alike.
"Hey Sonic. "
Sonic was snapped out of his daydream and turned around, "Hey, it's been a while. " He said.
