Just an Ash/Misty one-shot. Wrote this 'cause I was tired after writing another chapter for IMDH,

so... Don't blame me if it's lousy, because it was 9:10 when I

started this and I needed some sleep.

Disclaimer: *snoring*

This is great! I own Pokémon, I'm rich, and right now I have a Typhlosion named Barbecute! And she's pulling me towards a bright light... And I can see words... It mentions a one-shot?... And I hear something... Ty...8?

-wakes up- What's going on? Oh, it was all a dream? And I'm not rich? And I don't own Pokémon? And I should write the story now? *sighs* Fine. Here you go.

The rain was pouring onto the streets. Anyone in their right mind would be inside and dry on this stormy Kanto day. Buckets of water continued to fall as a red haired girl ran towards the Pokémon Centre. "So wet outside!" she exclaimed.

"Yes, it's best to stay inside 'til this weather passes over. But Cerculean City loves water, so it won't be a big problem." Nurse Joy assured her.

The red haired girl looked out the window. She could see someone in the rain. A shadow was sitting on the curb outside of the Centre.

Worried, the trainer grabbed her coat and umbrella and went outside. Nobody should be outside on a day like this.

The shadow was sitting on the curb. He had his mouse curled up in his jacket, and was currently staying in the rain, wishing he was closer to his destination.

"Excuse me? Are you looking for the Pokémon Centre?" a feminine voice asked him.

He glanced up, then did a double take. "Misty?"

"Ash?"

Ash and Misty were sitting on a couch inside the crowded Pokémon Centre. Everyone from Youngsters to Veterans to Ace Trainers were taking shelter in the red-roofed building.

"Why were you sitting in the rain?" Misty questioned him.

Ash sighed. "I came back from Hoenn, and my mom told me you were going to Jonto to train, and I had to see you before you went off to Saffron to catch the Magnet Train to Goldenrod, and when I stopped at your house, Daisy said you weren't there, so I figured that you left already."

Misty shook her head. "I don't leave 'til tomorrow."

Pikachu shifted itself on the couch. "Chaaa.".

*BOOM!* Thunder called out into the skies. The sudden noise made Misty jump slightly, landing next to Ash.

Misty turned crimson, and Ash just a little red. But that was nothing compared to when the lights went out.

"Eeekkk!" Misty cried out, almost as high as Pikachu cried out "Pikkkaaaa!"

Ash grabbed her hand. "It's okay!" he whispered in her ear.

Misty turned to him. He seemed so close to her, but in the dark, she couldn't tell. Maybe I could lean on his shoulder gently.

She moved just a little closer, and then felt something brush against her lips.

Ash is kissing me? And why do I not mind?

Just then, the lights flipped back on. Ash and Misty were still kissing, until Ash heard a "Chu!" from his Pokémon. They both pulled away quickly. Pikachu was looking at them, a look in his eyes. He knew.

The teens got up, and Misty grabbed her coat. Pikachu jumped off the couch, and followed them as they walked out of the crowded Pokémon Centre. The two of them stepped out into the pouring rain, and started to walk down the sidewalk as the rain continued to soak them, because when you're with someone else, the rain isn't so wet, the clouds aren't so dark, and the weather doesn't bother you at all.

So, there's my one-shot. If it sounded bad, tell me, 'cause I need to improve.

Thanks, Ty8 ^_^
