"Oh my god!" Seto suddenly exclaims, sitting up as small cracking noises fill the room. A book that has been set on the bed falls to the ground with a thud, but as important as the spells inside it are, it is absolutely ignored in favour of Seto scrambling to the table, calling out for Brice on his way.
His hood falls in his haste and he leans over the table's top and closely, so closely that Brice can't help but laugh as he enters the room, watches the egg sitting in a nest made out of pillows.
Brice sits down next to the excited brunet and they both watch as the egg moved around the nest until a small crack formed on the surface.
A smile forms on Seto's face as he watches it get bigger and bigger. He almost squees, the smile on his face almost splitting his face in two.
Brice wonders if he's alright, but has no time as the egg unexpectedly crack, a dark hole present on it. A small, purple scaled head pokes out of it, an eggshell getting stuck on its forehead in the process.
"Oh my god!" Seto exclaims again, eyes gleaming as the small creature lunges at him, landing on his shoulder. It clings to him, holding onto the fabric of his gray hood with its small claws.
"It… it really hatched…" Brice whispers almost in wonder, looking the small – no bigger than a fist – creature over. They have looked over the egg that the Sorcerer found for months.
The small dragon looks up at the blond, puffing out its cheeks. Brice rises an eyebrow, but quickly backs off with a yelp as a – small – stream of flame bursts out of the creature's mouth.
Seto chuckles, petting its head gently as he makes sure nothing really happened to his blond. He looks fine, just distraught.
"Looks like he doesn't like you," Seto murmurs with a chuckle.
Brice glares at him, shaking his head. "And obviously loves you," he says.
"It thinks I'm its mother," Seto states bluntly.
Brice looks at him with wide eyes, mouthing the word 'mother' over and over, although inaudibly.
"It looks like we got the kid we always wanted, huh?" Seto says, smiling down at the dragon who fell asleep on his shoulder.
