Hey All. This is my first fanfic for anything. I hope you all like it. I don't know if it has been done before or not. I don't want to step on any toes. I'm sorry if I do.

Just to make sure: I don't own Life with Derek or the song Give Me a Little More Time.

LWD is Family Channel/Disney and the song is by White Snake (yes it is an old song)

GIVE ME A LITTLE MORE TIME

Derek paced around back stage talking to himself. He couldn't believe he was going to go through with this. It was a last resort at getting Casey's attention. He had learned that his pranks weren't working anymore and that they were just making her mad and distant from him.

To Derek this song was everything. It was an apology, his feelings, his life and his last chance to have her. The rest of D-Rock thought it was only a song they had been practicing to sing this afternoon. No one know of Derek's intentions to finally ask Casey to be his.

It was their turn and they made their way onto the stage. They were doing a set of five songs today and Derek was saving the special song for the last. At the end of the first number, that was to warm up the crowd, the band introduced themselves.

"Hey, how ya'll doin' tonight!?!? Are you ready to rock! We're D-Rock and were ready to party. Now on with the show." Casey announced to the crowd.

They did the next three songs and the crowd loved the show. It was Derek's turn to talk to the crowd before the last song. He swallowed and took a very deep breath before going to Casey's microphone. He looked out to the audience and then at the group as he felt the butterflies fighting to get out of his stomach. Finally he just settled on staring at Casey.

Speaking to the crowd but not taking his eyes off of Casey he spoke. "This last song is going out to someone very special to me. She has always been there no matter what I have done to her. Always willing to help me, and she never backs down. She has pushed me to be better and try harder. I love her for it and I need her to know this so that I could ask her to help me out just one more time. I hope she will give A Little More Time.

Derek dropped to his knees and began to sing to Casey.

As the song came to an end Derek stood up and took Casey into his arms bring his lips to hers. He is so afraid that she is going to pull away that he drags her closer picking her up. She wraps her legs around his torso and kisses him back. As they break the kiss he asks her to give him a chance.

Casey is heard saying "Yes Derek. I would love to finally be able to give you a chance and a Little More Time because I am in love with you. You Jerk! Now kiss me again.
