A dark-haired girl sighed as she stood at the boundaries of the infamous Death City. She sighed when two arms wrapped around her, keeping her sanity safe for the moment.

"When will mum come home, Giriko-kun…?" She asked, sighing.

He sighed as well, resting his chin on her head.

"I don't know, Hime-chan…" he mumbled.

Giriko kissed the top of the girl's head and released her. "But I promise," he whispered. "I will personally come get you when she does…"

Fifteen year old Tsuki Gorgon sighed sadly, looking down at the sand dunes beneath her feet. When she felt the soul of her protecter disappear, she started her trek towards Lord Death's Soul.

Tsuki was debating whether or not to turn around and look for Giriko when she felt all the looks from the civilians. She knew her Soul Protect was on… she knew she put a shirt on… why were they staring at her like that…? She kept her head down and walked faster, wishing Michi was with her to protect her when she felt the tears pricking at her eyes. She gasped when she hit a hard chest and stumbled back slightly. She looked up when a hand wrapped around her wrist, helping her steady herself. She looked up, eyes wide, and blushed when she saw the stunning yellow eyes of Lord Death's son.

"You okay…?" He asked.

Tsuki's eyes widened again before looking back down at the ground, remembering what her mum told her about how rude it was to look people in the eyes. "Y-Yes…" she mumbled. "T-Thank you…"

He blinked and grabbed her chin gently between two fingers, tilting her tear-stained face to look at him.

"You were crying." He stated.

Tsuki blushed. "N-No I wasn't! Mum always said crying was for the weak!"

Kid ran his thumb across her cheek, cutting off another tear in its path.

"Then your mum must not know that people cry because they've been strong for too long…" he whispered, moving her bangs out of her eyes.

He smiled when he saw her bright brown eyes. "You know, you shouldn't keep your bangs in your face… you truly are beautiful…"

Tsuki blushed. Kid chuckled and grabbed her hand. "You're here to see my father, right?" He asked.

Tsuki nodded meekly, getting more stares than ever being with the son of Lord Death. Kid smiled and pulled something out of his pocket.

"Lets be friends. My name's Death the Kid, all my friends call me Kid. What's your name?" He asked, smiling.

Tsuki blushed. "Tsuki… Tsuki Supaidā…"

Kid chuckled. "Well, Tsuki Supaidā, this will be the start of a strong friendship…"

She smiled when she felt a chain around her neck, looking down to see a gold chain with a sparkling sapphire on the end.

"Just in case…" he said, squeezing her hand. "Just in case you ever miss me…"

Tsuki smiled up at him and he smiled back. This would definitely be the start of something stronger than a friendship…
