A/N: Just finished the book 'Never Let Me Go' Kazuo Ishiguro, which inspired this piece about Remus Lupin and Bellatrix Black/Lestrange. Hope you like it. (:

Never Let Me Go

She asks of him, only one simple thing. Not to let go.

He gives her his tears, but tears up her heart. Almost breaks her hand.

She lets him leave, although there is no way out. No anger there.

He sees her across the room, hears of her from other's tongues. He doesn't say anything.

She is told by him, assured he will be hers. Again.

He smiles in plight, most of the time. The rest, he cries, albeit on the wrong side.

She sees the ignorant, feels as if they took something from her. They only took her heart.

He whispers to her, in the mist of chaos. Don't, but he can almost hear her, never letting go.

She laughs at the disgust visible on their faces, but rages as she notices. It's on him as well.

He answers himself, resigned. He's a coward, one of a kind.

She just wants to do, to do, to hurt, to kill. Everything's fuzzy, so she pretends nothing hurts.

He pretends as well, and with time he can try to almost forget. There's no happy ending, for neither of them.
