Thanks for reading this. I hope you enjoy. Also if you choose to review, please be nice. It's not a very strong Lord of the Rings fanfic but when I wrote it I saw Legolas.

The light shines through the curtain.

I hug close the form next to me.

she stirs and her eyes flutter open.

She reaches for her dagger, on her side of the bed.

But as soon as we make eye contact, her body slumps down, in relief.

She drops her dagger on to the floor; as she snuggles closer, warming my body.

We hear the war raging through the half opened window,

our future is holding onto that battle.

I know she must do her duty, fight.

She must die for this to end.

I hug onto the last moments we have.

But the moments pass by quickly; like they never happen.

She lifts her weak, half-broken body, by her arms and sighs.

As a lay down on the bed, she prepares for her life's end.

Her body forms the black dress, letting her straight blond hair fall over her

cherry coloured lips and blue eyes.

She kisses my cheek and I know that is the last touch we will have.

I close my eyes preparing for the worst and she walks out of the room.

I hear a dying scream that comes from the valley.

I wish I asked her to promise she wouldn't scream.

I lay on the bed feeling that last embrace we had.

And I know, no matter what,

That I loved her and she loved me.

Hope you enjoyed! For some reason this just came to me, so I wrote it. Enjoy writing and reading!
