Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon, Toei does, and I don't own Darkgatomon either. James is me, Katie is Digitalhilancardcaptor. Shark Attack

"Digimodify-Hyperchip activate!" Katie yelled while swiping the card.  Her digimon, Darkgatomon, a black Gatomon, glowed temporarily.  She bounced immediately when the giant fin slammed down where she would have been standing.

"Is that all you got, Fish-face?" Darkgatomon laughed.  She landed and bounced as the giant fin came down again.  "Nah nah nah nah nah," she jeered in a singsong voice.  Her right paw began to glow.

"Black Lightning Paw!" she cried as she darted down and slashed the fin.  Tylomon, whose fin she had just shredded, let out a roar of anguish.  He retaliated by splashing water at Darkgatomon.  The water saturated her fur, paralyzing her.

"Darkgatomon, no!" Katie cried as Tylomon's shark-like head reared out of the murky depths of the lake.  All of a sudden, she felt that she was being watched.  She glanced around and saw Terriermon, a cute, little, bunny-eared Digimon watching her from a tree branch.  "Terriermon?" she asked curiously.  Terriermon's tamer, James, stepped out from behind a tree.

"I wasn't going to help unless you needed it," he said, taking out his D-Power and two cards. "Now it seems that you do. Ready, Terriermon?"

Terriermon, who had been watching Tylomon (who had been watching to see what James would do), said, "What did you say, James?"

James sighed.  My god, he thought.  He repeated what he had said.  Katie, who was taking off her jacket to use to help Darkgatomon dry off, giggled but tried to cover it up by coughing.

"Oh," said Terriermon. He jumped off the tree branch, and, using his ears as parachutes, landed safely on the ground on the ground. "Ready!"

"Digimodify! Armor digivolve combo-D-Terminal plus Depthmon!" he yelled, swiping the two cards.  Terriermon started to glow.

"Terriermon armor digivolve to… Depthmon!" he shouted.  His glowing form digivolved to Depthmon. His new form sat on the bank, twitching his dolphin-like tail every so often.

"Tylomon chose that moment to attack Katie and Darkgatomon (Katie was kneeling by Darkgatomon).  Katie screamed.  He dived at them, but seconds before he hit, Depthmon propelled himself at Tylomon.  He knocked into the shark-like creature, pushing both into the water.

Under the water, Tylomon propelled himself at Depthmon. Depthmon dodged, created a bubble, and, yelling "Bubble Bomb!" threw it at Tylomon.

The bubble exploded on contact, stunning the great beast.  Depthmon then charged at Tylomon, yelling, "Depth Charge!"

The force of Depthmon's charge made Tylomon explode into tiny bits of data, which he absorbed to make him stronger.

"He's been down there a long time," Katie commented, looking worried.  She was still helping Darkgatomon dry herself.

"Don't worry, he'll be okay," James said confidently. Inside he added, "I hope so."

Just then Depthmon jumped out of the water with a giant splash, drenching them all.  He landed and dedigivolved.

"TERRIERMON!" Darkgatomon screeched. "I just finished drying my self off!"  Katie laughed and helped her quickly dry off.  She got up and started chasing Terriermon who was laughing at her.

The two tamers looked at each other. This was an easy battle-just like any other.

Unbeknownst to them, a 'bowling ball with wings,' (as James was to call him later), Demidevimon, was watching the whole battle. They did well, he thought. Master Devitamamon will be pleased. He flew off, leaving no trace behind to show he was there.
