"In war, the most important goal became technology and organizing the hinterland. From the soldier, they only wished that they obediently and stubbornly die in the place that was designated on the map."
Aleksej Nikolajevič Tolstoj
When the world became aware of the events on Kamui Island, the idea, which the Second World was built upon years ago, collapsed like a tower made of cards, along with the temporary illusion of peace. Back then, only a few people noticed the changes, but this slowly, erased every boundary for the stronger nations, who tried solving their conflicts in secret, and even increased their suspicious behaviour towards each other. The fake smiles and polite handshakes disappeared from the stage, turning into cold stares and whispers. Soon, the only tool that prevented them from warfare just reignited the flames of malice.
The Russian Bear demanded his virtually occupied territories that he acquired before Ezeldarm's terrorists appeared in the Second World. A few weeks later, these demands were fulfilled not just in the North, but everywhere else on the globe. The former nations created a new world order and the Second World took over reality.
Arabista was silently waiting for their turn, while Londonia, Harness, and Glenschteim were defending the small pieces of land that were left of their home. The only ones that stepped out of the shadows were Jenock's forces, who took back smaller territories from Rossius now and then.
So to say, the walls of the enormous diorama no longer fulfilled their task, and had brought the outbreak of a new total war upon the world with destruction to everyone who was involved in the Second World fiasco.
However, on the contrary to the predictions of wise scientists and history professors, it wasn't a button that decided the future of the world. No. The soldiers remained the same, only the tools changed. The peaceful age came to an end, thus the real war time had started.

After long hours of fighting, the Rossius squad finally managed to corner the Jenock troops that attacked the garrison on the northern borders. In the meantime, their own side suffered minor casualities and out of the five Gleriors they'd dispatched, one became totally incapacitated, but the machines lying in the snow filled the commander's heart with momentary relief. Another mindless mission came to its end. The sense of freedom endowed him with strength.
Just like in the past wars, if one party's soldiers hit the ground there was no escape anymore. This old tradition hadn't changed, yet in some cases, the pilot successfully jumped out of the robot, attempting to escape on foot, if his environment gave an opportunity. Unfortunately this kind of manhunts didn't last long at the abandoned village, which lay in the middle of the snow-covered steppe. Especially not for Houjou Muraku, who quickly became infamous for cruelty he showed during missions.
The recently gained injuries completely paralyzed him. The once kind person slowly turned into a callous monster as he lost everything he'd ever considered important. It was his punishment for playing part in the destruction of the Second World.
And now the students of Kamui Daimon had to wage the war. The war they ought to finish in the first place. But this time, those who became LOSTs could no longer greet them at the end of War Time.

Although the army's brown uniform was tailored from heavy broadcloth for the freezing climate, with wool lining, coupled with the essential ushanka, the commander felt cold sweat breaking out all over his body when he thought about what he had to do every single week, if not almost every day. And if their opponents were from Jenock, it was prohibited to leave any survivors. This was a clear command from a smart and rather fat supervisor, after, on one occasion, some of the remaining Jenock troops attacked their most important eastern base at night.
If a Jenock soldier survives, they can always find a new way for counterattack as they learn from their mistakes. Just like rats; parroted everyone, like this was some kind of mantra.
They couldn't afford mistakes, so being deprived from everything, Muraku mechanically followed this ridiculous principle and became and obedient tool on the Rossius side.
