My China Doll

I used to be a monster. A family would move into this house I have long forgotten why I haunt and I would kill them. Then I met my little china doll.

I protect my china doll, so fragile and weak. I will not let anyone take her away from me. Not that man with the flowers, not her family, and not even a monster like me.

My china doll is scared of me. She runs when I try to talk to her and tries to leave me. I do not understand why she does not see I am trying to change for her?

My china doll tries to call for help but I won't let her. She can never leave me.

"Why do you do this to me?" She asks, her big brown eyes filled with tears.

"I love you, my china doll, so you can never leave me," I answer but it only makes her cry more.

"Leave me alone!" She screams but I cannot such a delicate flower.

"I love you, my china doll, so I will never leave you," I reply and try to comfort her.

I watch her sleep because she resembles an angel resting on a cloud. She makes me laugh when she snores so cute. Then I remember how much I long to be able to touch her. To hold her. To feel her silky black hair and look into her eyes made from the richest chocolate in the world.

"Good morning, my china doll," I smile at her when she awakens but she just screams.

Then one day my china doll left. I tried to stop her but I couldn't.

"Come back, my china doll!" I called but she didn't reply. The last thing I saw was her terrified face as she jumped into a car.

Then people came and burned the house I care nothing of down. Now I can wonder the streets looking for my china doll.

"Where are you, my china doll?" I ask no one but I know she can hear me because we have a special connection that can conquer even death.

"I miss my china doll," I cry in the park on rainy days. No one sees me cry because no one can see me for I am a ghost.

Then one day I found my China doll.

"My china doll!" I smiled and ran after her. I found her new home and started to live there with her.

"Hello my china doll," I looked down on her as she cooked. She was so beautiful when she cooks. She looked at me then screamed.

"I can't let you leave again, my china doll," I tell her. She runs from me but does not get far before she falls.

Her friends and family cry for her death but I tell her it is all right because now she can stay with me forever.

My China doll will never leave me because I love her.
