Rememberance

~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been long... too long. How many years has it been since I last saw her? One day we're home, we were happy...
Our parents died in the Final War. So did practically everyone else on the planet. But we lived. Her, me, my brother, Colin, and the few humans that got onboard the ship my sister built, the Ark.
Think about it: Me! Crying over the destruction of a planet full of evil, a planet doomed to die. Maria comforted me, Colin simply had a blank look to his eyes... staring at the nova which once was home.
As I said, few of us survived the end... We only lived because we listened to the words of a child. A genius/prophet warned us. Maria warned us to not cause war in fear that we end our world, forced to inhabit one of another kind. Idiots.
She constructed the Ark in our backyard. How she knew of the upcoming events is beyond me. "Fire shall sprout to the heavens as our doom reaches the sky. The sky shall crumble, lava shall spring, water will boil, we'll be destroyed lest we flee. The end shall spring hatred from another kind. They shall hunt us as we hunt them. But some shall befriend them. They shall be spared. They will restore the glory that we once held." Her exact words. Turns out she was right.
The adults hated her for knowing, so they harrassed her each and every day as we drifted in space. The computer picked up signs of a planet far off. One which we could inhabit. One like our own once was. Green and blue! Life! The journey from Earth to the new world was to take a century. We wouldn't have made it alive, but she thought ahead. Cryogenic tubes lined the walls of the captain's room. "We can make it!" they cried.
We did. They woke me up, but not her. They kept her there. She was forced to stay there, forced to sleep, waiting to feel the cool breeze in her hair, warm sunlight on her face, grass between her toes, snow, rain, everything and anything.
Turned out that the planet's name was Mobius. Already inhabited. Colin took over the operations. Said that I was too damn sentimental to deal with the battle ahead.
That was long ago. I am no longer Julian Kintobor, the little boy which cryed on the Ark. I am Ivo Robotnik, the destroyer of Mobius, the Tyrant. Evil.
They've finally beaten me. No longer is Robotopolis. No longer are the SWATbots. No longer are my creations.
As my plans are laid in ruin, defeated for the final time, I remember her.
I remember my older sister, who's still nine, still sleeping.
Our savior, our ruiner, the prophet.
I hope they'll be gentle with her.
