Chapter one

What to expect of the unexpected?

Draco walked among the halls of the Hogwarts Express seeking an empty room, somewhere he could rest and be able to ruminate without the utterly stupid comments of Crabble and Goyle. Those crazy bastards. He thought, smirking to himself. Finally, he found himself facing the last compartment of the train. No one was ever here because it was lonely and quiet. No students running amok, no meaningless talk, no one. It was perfect. As Draco walked in however, he realized someone had the same idea as his.

-May I?- he said mentioning to the seat opposite hers, surprised at his own politeness.

-....Oh, sure.- she said apparently startled.

With that she went back to staring at the window, far away in thoughts. Draco decided to do the same but for some reason he couldn't help but to look at this girl and wonder. He had never seen her before, but she also couldn't be a first year, she looked about fifteen or sixteen. With curiosity overcoming him he decided to break the long silence he had awaited for so long.

-Which house do you belong to?- he asked daringly.

She looked up at him surprised once again by the sound of someone talking.

-Oh, I'm not sure yet....

She began to say but was abruptly interrupted by the rapid sliding of the compartment door. Both of them looked up and saw two broad figures standing in the doorway.

-Not bad Draco! You always had good taste in women.- said one of them.

With that said they sat on each side of her. Draco's eye shot open. No!, they wouldn't do that here, even they aren't that dumb, or are they? He had to do something, soon! But as if sensing his tension she looked up at him and gave him a look that said "don't worry, I'm a big girl", so he decided to give her a chance and that was something Draco rarely did.

Simultaneously, both of them grabbed her arms and Crabble put a hand over her mouth.

-Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide little girl, so, what are you going to do now?- he whispered into her ear removing his hand from her mouth.

At first she jumped, startled by their fast movements but then she became still, listening to them, listening but not really worried. The blond haired boy in front of her got up quickly, ready to act but she stopped him with a look. Without so much as a word she turned around and bit Crabble's hand, which was close in front of her mouth. As he screamed with pain he let go of her hand which quickly turned into a fist and hit his groin with more force then he would have credited her with. Now he was on the floor grabbing his groin and moaning. She turned to the other side and hit Goyle's face almost knocking him out. Before he could react however she was standing up with her wand pointed at his heart.

-You decided to mess with the wrong girl boys! I wouldn't try this again if I were you, cause next time I won't hesitate to use my magic and I can assure you it is way better then my right hook.

She then placed her wand into her pocket and turned her back on them fearlessly. She stopped at the compartment door and turned around.

-By the way if I were you I wouldn't bother with cover up spells for those bruises. It won't work, just a little reminder I decided to leave you with. See you around.

She smirked, turned around and left. Draco couldn't believe his eyes, of course this wasn't a Malfoy smirk, but it was a good smirk, kinda of sexy. The scream of dumb and dumber brought him back to reality. It was then he realized what they were screaming about. Surely enough as she had promised their cover up spells didn't work, but more surprisingly, Draco's magic didn't work and this was a first.
