a/n: I do not own Harry Potter.

I found this quote recently and thought it would be perfect for Dramione. I hope this little drabble isn't horrible. I usually don't write HP because I can't ever get it just right.

Draco Malfoy was having a nightmare. He was dreaming about how the Dark Lord had risen again, and was out to kill him for being a traitor. He was back at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy at the final battle between the death eaters and Harry Potter. The grounds were crawling with trolls, death eaters, and killing curses being said over and over agin. He saw her from across the way, and how could he possibly miss her brown unruly bushy hair, and brown eyes?

When he had decided to fight against the death eaters, she was the one who accepted him first. She was the one who had believed he had truly changed, and the more he got to know her the more he liked the "filthy mudblood" Granger. They hadn't spoken about being boyfriend or girlfriend, because they were dealing with a war. The love would be there during and after the war, so why did it matter? He watched her intently as she hexed her enemies, and he felt sorry for their enemies because they had no chance against the brightest witch of their age. The Dark Lord appeared now in front of Hermione, and before Draco could even run over to her, he heard Voldemort scream "Avada Kedavra" and Draco knew it was over.

"Hermione!" Draco screamed.

He woke up startled in a cold sweat, and he took a few deep breaths because it all felt too real. He turned to the sleeping beauty beside him. Her bushy brown hair was all over face, but she still looked like an angel to him.

"Did you have another nightmare?" Hermione asked when she felt Draco calm down a bit.

"Yes, but I am better now." Draco said to her as he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close.

Draco closed his eyes once more, but this time he dreamt of marrying Hermione and living happily ever after.

"I loved her not for the way she danced with my angels, but for the sound of her name could silence my demons."-Christopher Poindexter.
