Safe in their arms
Summary: A small Inu-hanyou and wolf demon pup stumbles upon a small boy hidden in a playground set from the bitter weather. They aren't sure who or why the protectiveness of this boy raise within them. All the small boy knows he's safe in their arms. At least for the night until he has to go home.
Warnings: Au-pre-Hogwarts, kid Inuyasha, Kid Koga, Kid Harry, pre-slash/gen, hinted cold hearted/Abusive Vernon
"Mama," A small little one calls out as his silver puppy ears twitch on top of his head.
Big amber hue eyes gazes around as variety of smells attacks his senses making him crunch up his nose in distaste. Where is he? Where is his mama? She said she be gone for a small bit and play near the river at their special spot he tightens his hold on the ball in his claw-like hands.
"Hello," Another young voice calls out causing the small Inu-hanyou to become on the defensive as he bares his tiny fangs as a boy or his nose identify a wolf demon with messy black hair and blue eyes glances to him in confusion. "Who are you?"
"Inuyasha. You?" Inuyasha answers giving a wary look as most demons and humans give him dark looks.
"Koga," Koga grins holding out a tan hand for the other to take.
"Hmph," Inuyasha huffs giving a small smile of his own taking it and shakes.
Sound of rumble boom in the sky startles the two as they take off running into the woods wanting to find a secure area. They reach out finding a strange wide grass area with strange things to them. They find what looks like a shelter like building with a long thing to go down on. They share a look just as icy rain falls and the wind chills them. They go to the shelter stepping up the steps than goes into one of the enclosed like room with small holes for air.
Inside they find blankets and other scraps of clothing with a young human boy near their age looking at them with feverish green eyes.
"Please don't hurt me," He whimpers holding his arm that is in a strange angle curling up into himself.
"It's okay," Koga assures feeling the strange need to protect this boy.
He couldn't understand why but the feeling is there. He glance at the other seeing Inuyasha has the same look as him.
"I'm Inuyasha and this is Koga. Who are you?" Inuyasha ask sitting right next to the raven boy who trembles from the harsh wind blowing but scoots closer feeling the inu-hanyou's body heat.
"Harry," Harry answers shyly already feeling sick and wondering why Uncle Vernon is more meaner to him that his aunt Petunia gone out of town for a few days and starting to wish she comes back soon before things get worse.
He shivers more only to stop as Koga sits on his other side. The three huddle close as the rain and winds continue. They find the bits of snacks and food Harry been storing in the place due to it being more use as a shelter for him when he gets kick out of his house. TO keep him more warmer both Inuyasha and Koga wrap their arms around him and soon all three drift off to sleep.
Harry isn't sure why he feels safe in their arms but it feels right. He hopes it will never end but he knows it will. Eventually he'll have to go back to his relative's house facing Uncle Vernon's wrath.
