Hello everyone, this is my first time writing fanfiction so I'm really sorry for the sloppy story.

The captain's quarters wasn't at all how Emma expected. It was quite simple; a small bed at the side of the wall, a desk and ...bookshelves? Who'd of thought Captain Hook likes to read.

She found him lying on his bead legs crossed with a book in his hand. He didn't even notice when she entered. Emma couldn't help but smile at the sight of him. She'd been worried when she didn't see him at the town meeting. It was so unlike him to miss it. Thinking he might be ill she rushed over, to the Jolly Roger, after the meeting. Crossing her arms smile still in place,"You should really lock your door," eyes twinkling," a thief might slip in."

Hook quickly sat up closing the book and swinging his legs off the bed"Swan," sounding genuinely surprised,"what are you doing here?"

Wiping the smile off her face, Emma answered," I came to make sure you weren't up to no good seeing as you didn't come to the town meeting. I am the sheriff after all."

"That you are." he said a smirk finding its way to his lips. "I had planned to go but simply got distracted," raising the book he was reading, "but if I'd known you"d be worried I wouldn't have missed it for the world."

Still standing in the middle of the room, Emma couldn't contain her own smirk, "Could you be more vain?"

"That I can malady."

Emma, rolled her eyes at the pirate's answer, and ran a hand through her hair.

"Its gotten late and here we are alone in my quarters," raising his eyebrows as he spoke, "anything could happen."

Emma's smile widened for a second before being replaced with a stern expression, "No." she answered with finality, before walking out of the room, leaving Captain Hook starstruck.
