Gorilla Warfare (Alternative Ending)

(Here is an alternative ending to Gorilla Warfare… please enjoy)

Barry and Henry walked to the bus station, Barry was happy that his father came back to help him get better, Henry stopped and looked to his son "I am so very proud of you son, and you're mother would be proud of you too" Barry smiled nodding his head.

"Just tell me something Barry, does this Patty know?" he motioned to Barry and Barry shook his head "No, she does not" he replied.

"Barry, do you like this woman?" Henry asked and Barry nodded "I really like her" Henry smiled "Barry, you cannot have a relationship based on a lie… you will have to tell her"

"It's too dangerous" Barry replied and Henry smiled "The city is full of Meta-humans and Portals to different worlds Barry… she is a cop and Joe's partner, its already dangerous" Henry argued and Barry looked to the floor "Trust your instincts Barry, if she is interested in being with you then being the Flash will not change anything"

Barry nodded his head "Ok" Henry smiled giving his son one last hug before heading off leaving Barry with his thoughts before making a decision.

CCPD:

Barry smiled as he walked into his lab and found Patty at the microscope "Hey there Patty" Barry greeted and Patty grinned "Hey, I see you're much better" she replied knowing he was not sick.

"Yeah about that, I was not sick" he said, she was surprised by his admittance that he was not sick, she nodded "I know, I just don't understand why you'd lie" Barry took a deep breath, Joe was not going to be Happy when he found out but this was about Barry, he was done playing it safe "Truth is, I was feeling low… something happened and it affected me"

Patty leaned her head to the side looking confused and worried "Was it about that kiss we had" she asked worried and he shook his head "No of course not… I really like you"

"Then what is it Barry?" she asked stepping closer, Barry looked to her with nervousness before stepping back "I've been wanting to show you since we started" Barry took a deep breath and sped in a circle and came to a stop, no longer in his clothes but now in his flash suit, Patty's eyes widened in shock "Truth is… the dark speedster showed you that I was not strong enough and I did not know how to face you… I could not walk for a while after the fight so I was confined to a wheelchair"

"Oh Barry" Patty whispered walking closer "What happened to you, it was not your fault… you got nothing to be ashamed about, we are all confronted with obstacles that we struggle to pass" Barry nodded "But Patty, I failed you… when he showed me beaten and broken to you… it hurt knowing you had now seen the Flash like that" Patty brought her hands to his face and she kissed his lip "I really like you too, Nothing will change how I feel… and when that dark Speedster shows up again I know you will show him what happens when he messes with the Flash" Barry changed back into his clothes "I don't know if I can, he is faster than I am, he is beyond me"

Patty wrapped her arms around his shoulder and kissed him deep "Let's forget about this dark speedster, you can make up lying to me by doing one thing" Barry smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist "What you would like?" She grinned "this" she pulled him into a hard kiss which he replied to eagerly.

The demon speedster can go to hell, Barry was going to win one way or another… after all he has his family and now Patty in his corner.

He will fight and he will win.
