Sokka
"KATARA, GIVE ME BACK MY BOOMERANG!" said a 9 year old Sokka. Chasing his sister through the snow, he hated when she did this.
"Only if you catch me!" she sang. (to the tune of nana nana booboo.)
"KATARA, I WANNA TRAIN. NOW!"
"Well train with your clubbamajig, or your dagger-thingy."
"KATAR-AAH!" Sokka tripped into the snow. He spat out the snow. It tasted weird. "Eew" he spat.
"What? It's just snow." His sister insisted.
But it wasn't just snow they're black stuff in it. Soot. This is bad. Sokka thought. He remembered his Gran-Gran telling stories about how soot was a sign of an upcoming siege. The Firenation will attack.
Katara
She loved playing with her older brother like this. He probably is having fun too contrary to what he says. But now he looks almost scared. Katara chuckled at this thought her brother NEVER got scared, or so she thought.
"We gotta go home now." He said grimly.
"Why you give up?" She laughed.
"No, we, um, are in trouble"
"Are not, mommy would've called us by now."
"NOT in that kind of trouble."
"What kind of trouble then?"
"Danger-trouble. Firenation."
Katara got scared when he said this. He jokes around a lot but when it comes to war he was never wrong. Supposedly.
She ran with her brother, until they got back to the village. The men were already on guard.
Sokka
He rushed Katara into the igloo and went outside to fight with the other men. His father, on the other hand, had a different idea.
"But dad, I can help."
"You aren't old enough Sokka; you're not even 16 yet"
"I can fight as well as anybody here. You even said I'm the best of my age"
"Of YOURE age, you can't take on a Fire Army yet!" Sokkas' dad argued.
"FINE!" Sokka yelled and stormed to the Igloo.
Hakoda
He watched as his son walked to the igloo. Sokka had potential but he was just too young to fight in a time like this.
A large ship with a fire navy emblem on it came to shore and Hakoda got into a fighting stance.
Sokka
Katara looked up at Sokka looking confused. "Why aren't you fighting with Daddy?" she asked.
"It's complicated, Katara."
"But you always say you're a good fighter and daddy thinks so too. He'd want you to fight with him!"
"Okay I'll go." Sokka agreed knowing if he went he would completely disobey his father's orders.
Sokka and Katara's mother ran into the room. "The Fire navy is here!" she yelled.
Katara looked up at her mom. "Yeah but water always beats fire. Sokky told me that." But Sokka stared up at his mother he was never so scared in his life. He had to help, But just as he grabbed for his boomerang he felt a sudden blast of heat and the walls of the igloo began to melt.
"Mommy, I'm scared!" Katara said. Her mother hugging her tightly as their home melted.
Sokka grabbed his boomerang and started to run outside.
"Sokka! Get back here!" His mother yelled. The sounds of fighting outside the igloo.
"Mom, I need to help!" he said back.
"It's dangerous!"
"YOU"RE LETTING DAD FIGHT! WHY CAN"T I!"
"You aren't old enough."
"I CAN HELP"
Sokka ran outside to help his father when a large fire blast hit his igloo which melted instantly. His mother lied on the ground, Dead. He ran over feeling tears stream down his face. I could have helped.
