Epilogue
The curtains swayed slowly in the moonlight, and wind whispered through the windows. Alfred peacefully slept with his one pillow planted on his face. Shadows crawled on the walls, almost as if they watched the nation snore away through the cold night. Silence choked the air, not even a single sound lingered in the room.
A shadow, shaped as a human figure, peered over the unaware nation. Darkness blocked the moonlight that managed to shine through the glass pane. Suddenly, Alfred shifted uncomfortably and tugged the sheets over his head causing this mysterious figure to flinch an inch away from him. The nation sensed the ice cold stares piercing through the American based blankets (I just went dar) and shot upwards to see what was going on.
Americas' reaction was a moment too late. The shadowed figure fled before caught on sight, though, proof he was there was left when the curtains that swayed softly swayed higher than usual. He didn't bother to check if it hid somewhere in the house, he considered that to be a suicide play.
Alfred stared uneasily at the half open door and noticed a small black mark, which was extremely blurry due to not having Texas on. He bluntly decided "I'll check it out tomorrow," and let his head fall back onto the fluffed pillow.
Nothing more happened. Only small taps and a couple chirps, surely coming from the outside. The nation was once again relaxed and settled, and drifted off to sleep.
