All twelve Digidestined(including Mimi, who had come back to Japan for Christmas break), plus the Digimon belonging to half of them were lined up in front of Tai's computer. It had been a long time since they had been in the Digital World, and Armadillomon, Gatomon, Hawkmon, Patamon, Veemon and Wormon were sort of homesick. The other six Digimon were kept in the Digiworld to protect it, although the Digidestined were to eventually find they hadn't been doing their job.
"Shall I do the honors?" Ken asked, then opened the gate with a cry of "Digiport Open!"
As the eighteen beings were transformed from DNA to digital information, they suddenly stopped. One of them started to move, while the rest were parylyzed and oblivious to anything they saw or heard. The human pulled out an odd black crystal and silently made a being appear.
"Frozen the portal, I see." the being observed. "Anywhere, what is the reason for the call."
"The plan is underway." the Digidestined said. "Those children will never be able to defeat our Empire if the only ones that can reach Ultimate are dead!"
Both cackled evilly. "The fake turf is set, how about you in this new host body?"
"Yes, it is quite great." the human agreed. "Now, I must be going or else the warp will unfreeze and my secret will be out."
The projected monster vanished and the human tucked the crystal away in his/her pocket. They then rejoined the rest of the group and continued speeding foward into the Digiworld.

The DD landed on rough gravel. "Where are we?" asked Tai.
"Hmmm, it seems that..." Izzy started, but then looked in the distance took to yelling out "Hey, look! There's Infinity Mountain
"Infinity Mountain?" Davis asked naively.
"Yep, it's a mountain we original Digidestined climbed up once." TK rememberd. "At the top we found Devimon's base of operations, and he defeated all of us at the time. Later, when we came back there we still weren't enough until Patamon digivolved to Angemon."
"Ahh." said Davis, only taking in about half of what TK had said.
"Let's go set up camp near there!" Tai yelled as the group started walking.
AN:Well, how did you like the first chapter. Anyways, sorry if it was kind of short but I didn't want to murder anyone till Chapter Two.
