My Doctor ~ Intro

I don't remember falling asleep. In fact, I don't even think I was in bed. But clearly this must be a dream. How else can you explain being suddenly transported to a completely different location? Where am I? I try to scope out my surroundings but everything is blurry and there's a ringing in my ears. I grab hold of some sort of railing and slowly stand up. Can you feel extreme pain in dreams? There's a pounding in my head that is so forceful, I'm almost certain that my skull will crack. But I'm starting to come to and I can see a bit of where I am a bit better. It takes me all of five seconds to actually register where I am. My ears have begun to work properly and I can hear a distinct Whirring-Whooshing sound in the background.

This has to be a dream.

This is not real.

It's completely impossible.

The TARDIS…I'm in the TARDIS.

But I can't be! It doesn't exist! I won't argue with my dream-world for long though because this is just too amazing! I try to take in every inch of the spaceship. My eyes settle on the door. My mind is desperately seeking whatever imaginary alien world lies behind those simple wooden doors. Where in the cosmos could I be flying through?

All of time and space are at my disposal.

Everything that ever happened and ever will be.

Where do I start?

But somehow I feel something is missing. I can't possibly be alone here.

As if I've somehow had my questions answered telepathically, I hear movement behind me.

"Oh god, my head." The voice doesn't belong to the Doctor, although it's apparent that this stranger has an English accent. I feel I know his voice. "Is this? Oh my god! I can't believe it!"

I turn my head to see who I've been joined by.

My mouth drops.

"Charlie?" He turns to me.

"Who are you?" His expression is twisted. "Well I guess it's obvious. I'm dreaming about flying the TARDIS and I must have acquired a companion in my subconscious." He runs his fingers through his hair. "Although I'd have assumed you'd be Amy Pond or something…"

"Your dream? No this is definitely MY dream. Charlie McDonnell flying with me in the TARDIS. My Doctor. Yeah that about sums up my perfect dream."

"Well it can't be both of our dreams."

"Unless we're trapped in some freaky inception world." He walks over to me.

"Here's one way we can test it. We both pinch ourselves. That way we know who's dream it is." I frown.

"What if I don't want to wake up?"

"Do you want to find out who's dream it is or not?" I sigh reluctantly and close my eyes. I'm bracing myself for the inevitable wakeup that is soon to follow. Charlie counts down.

"Ready? Three…two…one!"

I open my eyes.
