Sick and Tired

"Grandpa, no, why'd you call the school again!"

Kagome glowered at her grandfather, her dark eyes blazing. Her grandfather sat down, not looking at all fazed by his granddaughters' rage.

"Kagome, you need to spend time in the feudal era with Inuyasha and your friends to reform the Shikon no Tama."

"Yes, and I also need to go to school to study and get good grades! I can't do that if you've called the school and told them I've got gall stones!"

Kagome snatched up her schoolbag and ran, hoping against hope that she wouldn't be too late for her first class. Fortunately, there had been a traffic jam across all of Tokyo that morning, so she got there on time.

On the other side of the Bone-Eaters well, things had taken a turn for the best when Naraku had lost a few Shikon shards from the nearly intact Shikon no Tama. A panther youkai had one in it's' possession, and Inuyasha, Sango, Shippo and Miroku had tracked it down. Inuyasha drew Tessaiga, smirking at the thought of an easy kill and a second Shikon shard in their possession. As he held the sword crafted out of his father's fang, it gained a crystal-blue colour, signifying he was about to use his most recently gained attack.

"Kongousouha!"

A hail of diamond spears exploded towards the panther youkai, ending its' life in an instant. Inuyasha walked up to his slain enemy and plucked the Shikon shard out of the bloody corpse.

"Heh, nothing to it!"

He smiled, sheathed Tessaiga, and then picked up a few of the diamond spears. Sango looked at him curiously as he headed towards the Bone-Eaters Well.

"What are you doing with them, Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha glanced over his shoulder, a definite spring in his step.

"Kagome's time thinks these things are valuable, so if I take her some, she can get another of those iron cart things."

Sango suddenly stiffened and her cheeks flared as red as Inuyasha's clothing. She unsheathed her katana and began to chase Miroku, who had taken the opportunity to fondle her whilst her attention was elsewhere.

"I promised to marry you Miroku, not to let you grope me all the time!"

Miroku gave a theatrical sigh, sufficient to stop Sango from impaling him with her weapon.

"Alas, I understand, Sango. But nothing…"

He got no further as Sango slapped him across the face, looking very annoyed at his continued perversity. Shippo shook his head, used to seeing this sort of thing.

"When will Miroku learn?"

A week had passed, and Kagome had been astonished but pleased at Inuyasha's thoughtfulness in bringing the diamond spears. She had decided to trust him with the second Shikon shard, and her schoolwork had caught up with that of her friends as well. But when Kagome came downstairs to head to school again, she found her grandfather once again on the phone to the school.

"I do NOT have kidney failure grandfather! Now I'm going to school, and don't pull this again!"

She stormed off, and arrived at school on time. Inuyasha had shown up in the middle of volleyball again, and used his Kaze no Kizu to inadvertently get everyone sent home due to earthquake worries. However, his predicament when Kagome got home was nothing compared to Kagome's only a week later. This time, she lost her temper completely and yelled loud enough for half of Tokyo to hear.

"WHY DID YOU TELL THE SCHOOL I HAVE HYSTERICAL PREGNANCY?!"
