I opened the door.

The couch is shredded, the screen is gone

Marley was here.

Where is that dog, anyway?

I find him in his bed, whining.

His eyes pleading me to let him off the hook.

I bring him out to the living room.

And yet, I don't punish him.

We sit here in the destroyed room.
