Hikaru and Kaoru sat on a windowsill overlooking the courtyard. It was spring and all of the flowers were in full bloom. Directly across from the garden, standing under an awning was a young girl. She wore the middle school uniform and had long brown hair braided down her back.
"She's here." Hikaru said, spotting the girl.
"Let's go." Kaoru said, moving from his spot on the windowsill.
The young girl, Sakura, was startled when Hikaru suddenly came from behind one of the pillars.
"Hey, Sakura, I got your letter." Hikaru held up a green envelope. "But I'm not Hikaru, I'm Kaoru. You must have put it in my desk by mistake."
Sakura crossed her arms and glared up at Hikaru. "Your not Kaoru. I know how this game works. It's like some sort of twisted version of your 'Which One is Hikaru Game!' Well," She pointed to Hikaru. "Your Hikaru," She pointed towards the garden. "And Kaoru is hiding in one of those bushes."
Hikaru stared at her as Kaoru peeked curiously from his hiding place, overhearing their exchange.
"But how-" Hikaru started.
Sakura interrupted. "Do you remember Takara?"
At his blank look Sakura pressed on.
"Of course you wouldn't. You've done this to a lot of girls haven't you? You just push away everyone who tries to get close to you. Your always trying to make people figure out which twin is which, when they could easily figure it out if you only let them get to know you better." Sakura sighed. "I used to feel sorry for you two. Always by yourself. But now I know it's your own fault." With that Sakura swiftly turned away from them and walked off to her next class.
Kaoru came up behind Hikaru. "You know, in a way, she's the first person to figure it out."
"The first person to win the 'Which One is Hikaru Game.'" Hikaru added.
They turned toward each other and looked after Sakura's fading figure, each with a slight smile on their faces, before turning and walking to their next class.
A/N: For some reason I have twins on the brain. First Fred and George (for those who don't know they're from Harry Potter) and now Hikaru and Kaoru! As much as I love those two I figured someone had to tell them off for hurting those poor girls feelings! :( Anywho, hope you like it and review!
