Author's note:

Welcome to the sequel of the Golden-leafed Tree! This story will be quite different... the GLT was depressing and sorta creepy, but I intend this to be a cute 'n' sunny fic! There might be some depressing chapters but generally it'll be happy...lol PLEASE

Beyond our World

A sunny day; blue skies; crisp, fresh snow glittering like a million stars on the ground, melting under the growing heat of a November morning; the school bell ringing distinctly and clearly through the sharp, clear air; a new day of adventures beginning.

A slim, elfish girl stood atop a hill, analyzing the scene with a meditative, quiet ecstasy and a consciousness of being as free as the clean, cold wind ruffling her lustrous wood-brown, glossy, long hair at the moment, and causing her summer-sea-blue eyes, deeper than the deepest oceans within themselves to glaze over. A smile, elusive and dripping with knowledge of the unknown and mysteries of the sweetest sort lingered on her pink lips, crimson against her marble-white, fine-featured face.

She had come here by mistake before, and had resolved to come back again. Now, she was back, but not for the sole purpose of enjoying herself; there were Cards on the loose to capture! She had brought herself here out of duty, to fix a mistake she had made. Clow Cards were dangerous, but her Cards had twice the power.

She took one out of her elaborately-designed dress's pocket now and whispered a brief incantation with haste, for every minute wasted could bring more trouble than was imaginable:

"Wish Card: listen to the commands of your mistress!

Grant my plea,
Hear my wish
Give me power,
Just like this:

Make me a high-school girl,
And cover up suspicions
Close the eyes of those with magical visions

Give me the look of one so ordinary,
Them, only them, in the solitary
Let Meilin and Li alone see me as I am,
A loving daughter to only them!"

At the last word, a swirl of starry purple fog engulfed the young sorceress, and out of the mists emerged a fully-uniformed, spunky-looking teen with big glasses, a long braid of hair, full of sheen and life, swinging to and fro down the length of her lean, small body and a look of tamed mischief surfacing above the bottomless depths of her eyes.

"Meet Lia: expert sorceress of many talents! You have just witnessed talent number one: great disguise abilities! New life, here I come!" The girl announced with a smile and a wink, as if speaking to an imaginary audience, and then scurried to school, ready for a new day, a new friend or two, and as she had come to expect, a new adventure. After all, she was Lia, sorceress of the big mind, big heart, and huge imagination. In her world, "boring" was not in the dictionary.

Well, should I continue? Please review, I need to know!
