Disclaimer: I was watching an interview of JKR today…yeh, she looks nothing like me. For starters, she wrote this really famous book series. It's called Harry Potter. Heard of it? Yeh I haven't either…
A/N: A result of procrastination and a sudden affection for my siblings.
"They're fighting again," she whispers
"What is it about this time?" I whisper back.
"The floo powder – someone finished it," she said, her lower lip trembling.
"Don't cry!" I say, almost harshly.
She sobs and her shoulders heave, my heart almost breaks.
"W-what if they hurt each other?" she sounds so vulnerable.
"Don't be ridiculous! They love each other!" I say confidently – at least for her.
"They sure could have fooled me," a third voice says from the door.
We both turn to see the third person.
A huge thud is heard. She curls into me and he flies to my bed.
"At least no wands are involved," I say quietly, softly brushing her long red hair.
"How long do you think they will last?" he speaks softy, nudging her in the ribs. She is too upset to answer, so I pretend to play along.
"I bet they'll be kissing in two minutes," I joke, knowing full well the fight is far from over.
At both their glum faces, I can tell I haven't fooled either of them. Well, I tried.
"But what if their love isn't enough?" she asks the question that we had all been thinking.
"Then we have to stick together, " he says fiercely.
And as our parents continue their fight, Lily Albus and I stay silently in my room.
