"6:50, I've got ten minutes to find the assembly hall, I'm doomed!" Saiko looked around in desperation, it was her first day at the soul reaper academy and she was already lost. The Academy campus was not small and it was filled with students from different years, all bustling together to get to their next lessons on time. Saiko was about to pluck up the courage to stop someone and ask for directions when something, or rather someone, ran into her. Saiko lay on the floor squashed by another body. The runner clambered off the floor and helped Saiko up, "Sorry about that I'm in a bit of a rush". Saiko grinned as an idea popped into her head, "oh no really it fine...Do you know where the assembly hall is though?" The girl blushed slightly, "Actually that's why I was rushing, it's my first day and I can't find it". The two girls brushed themselves off and thought for a moment. "Hi, I'm Raiyo it's nice to meet you, oh, and sorry about knocking you over", Saiko giggled slightly before replying, "he he, it's fine, nice to meet you Raiyo, I'm Saiko, we should probably get going or we'll be really late!" The two girls looked around once more before running off to find their assembly in time.
"The time is now 7:15, the assembly started at 7:00, why are you two so late!?" The two girls had attracted more attention than they had hoped. The assembly was well under way when they had entered through the very large (inconveniently loud) doors. The entire assembly had stopped to stare at the two children who had arrived late, they stood carefully in the doorway, two kids side by side, one with shoulder length black hair(Raiyo) and the other with slightly shorter, bright blonde hair(Saiko), and both wearing a very guilty smile. "Erm, I'm sorry we're late miss, we got lost" answered Saiko; to the very angry lady towering over them."Very well, take your seats", grunted the lady. The hall was the huge; it could have easily held in excess of 800 students, currently though only 150 first years sat at the front, all staring intently at the stage. A man stood and walked to the centre of the stage, he commanded respect and radiated authority, the students sat in awe of their new headmaster.
"Urgh, a two hour assembly telling us about what we can't do!" Saiko moaned, as she slumped against the wall dramatically. Raiyo followed in suit as she leant down against the wall."Wow, look at this view!" gasped Raiyo. The view from outside the assembly hall was amazing, it showed the entire campus; the dorm rooms, the training grounds and the classrooms, all surrounded by trees and flowers while the light danced majestically off the buildings. "Oi, you two" yelled the angry lady from the assembly, as she picked up both girls and threw them to their feet, "weren't you listening in assembly, all first years are to go to their assigned rooms and unpack" she boomed. "We're sorry miss, we forgot, we'll go now" Raiyo muttered to the teacher. "If I see you two breaking the rules one more time there will be severe consequences" the teacher stormed off angrily, leaving the girls once more to figure out where to go. Raiyo pulled out a scrunched up piece of paper wrapped around a key, "So, what room are you in?" Saiko turned over her hand and read the number written on it, "20" to replied. Raiyo's eyes lit up "I'm 22 that means we're like neighbours!" After a moment of cheering and jumping Saiko pondered in her own thought's, "I hope my room-mate likes me.." followed by a large grin, from her new friend.
