The roof of the tunnel started to shake, like a thousand paws racing over it at once. There's not a second to spare, I race forward . I'm going to squeeze through! I'll be free! Suddenly, thud. The roof's collapsing in, rocks fall and one hit's me on the shoulder. I fall. Another rock hit's me, another and another. Why am I Here? I don't want to die! Especially not like this...
Why? Everything comes flooding back, Lionblaze and Jayfeather, their lives mapped out by the fact they are 'the three.' Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight, my so-called parents. Liars. But they raised me and my brothers, not like Leafpool and Crowfeather, they abandoned us. Left us to be cared for by someone else, so that they could save themselves the shame of breaking the warrior code. The warrior code... we must obey it but how's it going to help me now? Where's the warrior code now, when I'm trapped under these rocks.
My last thought's turn to Ashfur and all the cats I've hurt. I'm sorry Ashfur, you were good to me and I had to kill you. I didn't want to, but you were just such a risk...
