Tech Support: A Smitchie One-Shot
Ring.
Ring.
& More ringing.
Still no answer! I was getting pissed! I needed to work and I couldn't do that since I can't open files on my laptop! I've been waiting for tech support to answer for the past 20 minutes! I heard a beep and finally, a guy was on the phone.
"Hello. Good afternoon, ma'am. This is tech support. My name is Shane Gray, how can I help you?"
"God, finally! Someone answers! I've been waiting all afternoon!"
"Sorry ma'am. We're just very busy. Now what seems to be the problem?"
"I can't open my files on my laptop! I need to go to work, I don't wanna get fired!"
"Okay, calm down ma'am." he said, then he started suggesting things to solve my problem, but none of them seemed to work.
After, like 11 suggestions, I was finally able to open my files again!
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Shane!" I exclaimed.
He chuckled. "No problem, ma'am. And no need to add the Mr., A simple Shane is just fine."
I smiled. "Okay, Shane. And no need to call me ma'am. Just call me Mitchie."
"Okay, Mitchie."
"I need to go now and work. Bye."
"Wait!"
"Yes, Shane?"
"Can I, err, maybe…have your number? I mean I know I probably sound like a creepy guy right now but---"
I cut him off by giggling. "Sure. It's [insert number here]."
"Thanks, Mitchie."
"Sure thing. I really have to go now, Shane. But maybe we can talk later, Bye."
"Bye." I could hear his smile when he said bye. That made me smile as well. I hung up, then went to work smiling like an idiot.
"…And that's how I met your father."
"That's such a weird love story you and daddy have, mommy." commented my 5-year-old son.
"No it's not. It's romantic! Even if it did happen with the help of tech support…" defended my 7-year-old daughter.
"Time for your bedtime, kids!" Shane said, coming into the room.
"Okay." the children chorused sadly. They kissed Shane and I goodnight, then went to bed.
"I love you, Mitchie."
"I love you too, Shane."
And with that, we both leaned in, and kissed!
