Winter Thaws
Usual Disclaimer: I own nussing, nussing. Any further questions you must write to the Red Cross. Thank you.
A/N: Given how my last poem 'Ode To Trial' was received, I thought I would write another poem. I'm thinking seriously of doing different poems on various subjects. Might be easier than long stories plus I have some talent in poetry. Not that I won't keep writing regular stories. Anyway what do you think?
Do you recall,
Those wonderful days,
Of pure white snow?
Of a moon hidden by clouds,
Those long chilly nights,
When sabotage could feel so right?
Winter drifted by,
Like sledding children on the hill,
Filled with explosions and bomb sights.
Ka-BOOM! Went the factory,
BOOM! Went the convoy,
And POP went that weasel trying to spy on us.
Ah the glory days,
Long snowy evenings,
And so much mischief to be played.
Alas, it skids to a stop,
Like Klink's car without the brakes,
With the approach of spring.
Now the sun shines brighter,
The days are deep and warm,
But gone are those nights,
Of sabotage.
Why must winter thaw?
A/N: How was the poem? Don't be bashful chip in! I'd like to hear your opinion. I hope it reflected the gang's feelings of spring. Warmth and no snow yes but so many ripe chances to sabotage are lost thanks to shorter nights. As always keep in good health yourself and let your imaginations roam free. :D
