A/N: Helka and I don't own POTC. We wish we did, yeah, but uhhhh...we don't. Jerry Bruckheimer does. Written when we were pre-pubescent 13 year olds. Don't judge.

"Heeeey Mar!" Kelsey exclaimed as I stepped in the door on a Saturday night. She beamed as I dropped my sleeping bag and overnight bag and pulled off my jacket. I gave her a quick hug before we both started to scream. And before I continue, yes we are the hyperactive insane fangirl teenyboppers you will read about. No, we are not sane. Savvy?

"Heeeey Kelz!" I exclaimed back as we lugged my stuff upstairs to her room. I put my bag and coat on the floor and sighed. I love Kelsey's room since her walls are shrines to our favorite actors! I went straight for my favorite picture of Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean and began to ogle the greatness of that movie. Our favorite movie. Kelsey grinned at me since it was always the same whenever I went over. I always had to stare at Orli before we could do anything. I mean, who can blame me? He's only the sexiest guy alive! After about 5 minutes of Orli (well, actually Will Turner) worship, I managed to sit still.

"So what's on tap for tonight?" I asked, rubbing my hands together eagerly, "Annoying your sister? Playing Truth or Dare? Or the usual, watching movies with our hotties in it?" That was the routine of our sleepovers. By now, we were flopped on the floor with two cans of Pepsi. Caffeine! Whoo!

Kelsey giggled insanely, and I knew the answer immediately. We chorused, "Movies!" before bursting into full-fledged laughter and collapsing in glee.

I took a deep breath after I calmed down and stopped laughing, "What movie?"

Kelsey crawled to her movie shelf and began pulling out DVDs by the handful. "Weeeell," She said, "We have... Interview with a Vampire," She held it up.

I bit my lip, and said sadly, "But we watched that last weekend." Dang, I loved Tom and Brad in that movie, but they needed a rest.

"Ok, then how about The Two Towers?" She asked, holding up the extended edition.

I weakened, and said half-heartedly, "We watched that last weekend too." Legolas was just staring sadly at me from the walls, and I nearly cried.

Kelsey saw my expression and patted my hand in mock sympathy. "It's ok Mar, Leggie will understand." She said with a sad expression that barely covered her grin. "How about..." She grabbed a DVD and I began happily bouncing up and down.

"What is it? What is it?" I asked eagerly.

"Pirates of the Caribbean!" She yelled happily, doing a little dance in the process.

I laughed and squealed "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Before you could say 'Cap'n Jack', we were settled with pillows in the darkened room with the DVD about to play. Hypnotizing that movie is, I swear. I couldn't look away (although I did manage to wipe the drool from the corner of my lip

several times and not miss a beat) and after several other movies and juicy gossip, Kelsey and I decided to call it a night.

"Night Kelz, see you in the morning." I said sleepily as I crawled into my sleeping bag and snuggled into my pillow.

"Night Mar." Kelsey murmured as she yawned. She rolled over on her bed, and promptly fell asleep.

As I began to drift off, I began humming Captain Jack Sparrow's little pirate song. "Drink up me hearties, yo ho, yo ho. A pirate's life for me..." I trailed off as I went to sleep.

Suddenly I felt like I had been plunged into an icy cold bath. My eyes shot open and I coughed and spluttered as salt water entered my mouth. This was definitely NOT Kelsey's room.

"Mary!" I heard Kelsey call out, her voice not far off.

I struggled to sit up and looked around, trying to see where exactly I was. To my complete confusion, I was lying in the waters of a dark beach. The black night sky twinkled above me, stars clearer than I had ever seen them. Other than their sparkle, there wasn't any to be found on the beach. Thankfully I saw lights nearby, and they looked so familiar, but I couldn't place a name. Standing up, I felt my nightgown soaked through and my hair was dripping with seawater. I saw Kelsey running towards me with her blonde curls flipping madly in a cool night breeze. She came to a stop by me, and we stared at each other as it dawned on us why the city looked familiar. We had just watched it that night...

"This looks like..." I said, my eyes widening. It couldn't be. It couldn't be where we were and yet it seemed it was.

"Port Royal!" A huge grin spanning ear to ear covered Kelsey's face. She grabbed my hands and we began doing a mad dance of happiness.

"But how can we possibly be here?" I asked my fellow insane friend as we laughed, "Are we just dreaming?"

Kelsey shrugged as we spun to a stop. She said mildly "To quote Arwen: Then it is a good dream!"

After a few more dances of happiness, we flopped down in the sand. My teeth chattered in the cold breeze, and I realized that we needed to find a place to dry off and get warm. Besides, the smell of salt and fish was making me sick. "C'mon!" I said as I dragged Kelsey's wrist, "We need to look for a place to stay!"

As we walked down the street looking like half drowned rats, questioning each other if we knew what buildings were down what street. I began to giggle at the sight that we must have been. Our modern nightgowns would have seemed like the littlest bit of underwear! I began to

study the scenery. The wooden buildings were no mere imitations, and I was definitely sure we weren't in our own time anymore. The lanterns strung about the streets caused shadows to dance over the cobblestones. After Kelsey and I were about to fall over with exhaustion, a little sign made my heart begin to race. The blacksmith's shop where Will Turner worked! We were saved! He was a gentleman and let us in, he wouldn't let two bedraggled girls wander the streets all night I was sure.

"KELSEY!" I whispered loudly, "We're HERE!" She muffled laughter, I was famous for being an enormous Will Turner fan and this was as about fun as you could get for me.

Kelsey on the other hand was a Jack Sparrow fancier. Depending on what day it was here, she might get to meet him personally here in Port Royal! After I stared at the door for several minutes just thinking 'Will Turner touched this door!', impatiently she asked "Well? Are you going to knock?"

I was biting my lip in order not to squeal. Will Turner was on the other side of that door! He had touched this door! Gathering the shreds of my sanity and courage, I knocked quietly on the door.

Straining to hear, I thought footsteps were approaching. I jumped back as the latch was lifted and the wooden door creaked open. I gripped Kelsey's arm tightly as none other than the god himself; Will Turner stood before me.

His face was full of confusion, and again I realized what a sight we must be. 'He probably thinks we're walking around in our underwear!' I thought to myself. Nervously I quipped up, "Umm, sir?" I blushed horrendously as I said this.

Will looked at us both and asked with concern, "Ladies, what happened to you, to be walking around like this?" His brown curls were held back by a band, and his gorgeous face was slightly smudged with soot. His skin was a lovely tan, though it remained mostly hidden under a billowy white shirt and vest. Brown breeches and boots covered his legs. He studied us, a curious expression on his face. I looked at Kelsey in desperation since I had no idea what to say and she mouthed for me to make something up.

I blurted out the first idea that popped into my head as to why we would be wandering the streets in our underwear. I said my voice trembling with nervousness to be so near Will, "Pray, we were kidnapped not two nights ago." I know, I know. That was such a lame story. But it seemed to work! Getting into it I explained, "My sister and I, our father was murdered in our defense and we were taken against our will but we managed to escape. Might you tell us a place we can stay?"

Ushering us inside, Will grabbed several blankets from around the blacksmith shop. He draped them around our shoulders and led us to the fireplace where he bade us sit down. His voice was gentle and full of pity when he asked, "You have no place to stay?"

This time, Kelsey spoke up. "None sir, the cutthroats burned our home to the ground." Thank god we both liked to talk like people did in the 18th century. She even managed to get tears in her eyes. It was a relief to have such a brilliant actress with me!

"Governor Swann should be informed of this." He mused. Brushing off the black smudges from his clothes, he nearly had the door open a moment later.

That had not been part of the plan! I called to him, "Sir, how are you to inform him if you do not know who we are?" Hey, I was making a point. Plus, I had only been in his company for about 2 minutes, so sue me if I wanted him to stay!

He turned back to us and smiled wearily. Will apologized, "I beg your pardon, I had forgotten. What are your names?"

I thought about it for a moment, Mary seemed like a name fit for this time so I told him. "I am Mary, Mary Williams." I just made up a last name, it was really O'Brien, but I wasn't sure that any Irish people were inhabitants of Port Royal.

Kelsey bit her lip slightly before saying, "And I am Rose Williams." She had used her middle name as her first, good thinking! 'Kelsey' wasn't quite right for this time period. I winked at her and flashed her a quick thumbs up sign.

Will bowed to us before saying, "Thank you ladies. My name is Will Turner." He turned to leave again, and I desperately called,

"Mr. Turner!"

"Yes?" Will turned around and I blushed, nearly forgetting what I was going to say to convince him to stay.

I stammered as he looked at me, "We, we were followed after we escaped. The cutthroats may have traced us here, would you leave us to be taken again?"

At this, the latch on the door was sealed. Will came back by the fire and pulled up a barrel to sit on, as Kelsey and I had the only chairs nearby.

He told us with a fierce gleam in his eyes that no one would be bothering us again that night. I nearly sighed, the only times I had seen him like that in the movie was when A) Elizabeth was in trouble, which was often or B) He was fighting Jack.

"Mr. Turner?" Kelsey asked curiously, "What is the time?"

"After midnight, why? And please, call me Will." Will answered with a grin.

"I was just wondering." She said simply. I noted her skin was a bit paler than usual, and she was shivering. I couldn't stop shivering either and both our teeth were chattering despite the flames and blankets. We must have been out in the cold water for awhile before waking up.

Suddenly getting to his feet, Will exclaimed, "Rose, Mary forgive me! I had forgotten you are in wet clothes, let me find something dry for you to wear." I swear my heart nearly stopped right then and there. He hurried up some stairs that must have led to his room above the shop. We could hear his boots through the ceiling as he crossed the upstairs floor. While Will was busy, Kelsey and I began having a hushed conversation.

"That was the dumbest story I've ever heard Mary!" Kelsey whispered as she shook her head, "Kidnapping?"

I murmured, "Oh shut up, if we can fake our way through this, maybe we can make this turn to our advantage!"

Kelsey's eyes flashed with understanding, "Like perhaps me meeting my pirate captain?" She giggled as her eyes crossed and she began having dirty thoughts.

I nodded happily. I knew Will was going to end up with Elizabeth in the end, so I was pretty disappointed in having no chances with him. He was too loyal to Elizabeth to ever waver, but that was something attractive about him! I sighed and pulled my blanket closer around me.

Kelsey shot me a look of sympathy as Will came back downstairs holding two pairs of shirts and breeches. "Here," He said ruefully, "These will do until morning. I doubt the Governor will approve of ladies wearing men's clothes, but he will make sure you get some proper clothes." I didn't have any clue what that was supposed to mean, so I just ignored it. Gratefully I accepted the shirt and breeches and made a tent for myself out of the blanket.

I managed to change without flashing anyone and Kelsey did as well. I couldn't believe I was wearing Will Turner's clothes! They were soft cotton, and were so comfy! Kelsey was trying to deal with her shirt being too large (mine was too) and she managed to fix the shirt so the neckline wasn't indecent. But hey, necklines were low then! I just sort of clutched the neck closed with the hand that held my blanket and prayed I wouldn't have to move it.

Awhile later I yawned, becoming cozy in the fire's warmth. My eyes became heavy and they began to close against my will. Before falling into sleep, I saw Kelsey with her head on her chest, sleeping quietly. A smile crossed my lips as I too slept.

The next morning I was gently shaken awake. When I began mumbling angrily about 5 more minutes, I heard Will's voice say, "Come, I'm taking you to see the Governor."

What a lovely way to wake up! I opened my eyes fully to see him waking Kelsey up as well. I had a dreamy smile on my face, and absently began stretching my stiff muscles. I knew

my hair probably looked like hell at that point, but I couldn't do much about it. Will was off changing his clothes upstairs, (and my mind was going nuts) so I hurried over to Kelsey to discuss how we would handle any questions from the Governor.

"Morning!" I beamed at her.

She smiled at me wryly, "Why are you so perky today?"

I said with a sappy grin, "Nothing like being woken up by Will Turner in the morning to put you in a good mood! Anyway, we need to make sure we have our story straight when we see the Governor today."

"Right." Kelsey replied with a nod. She continued, "I'm Rose Williams, and you're my sister Mary. Our father, umm, what should our father's name be?"

I shrugged, and said "I dunno. John?" I was thinking of Johnny Depp, using his name was sort of a tribute I suppose.

"Alright. Well, he was murdered to save us from the bad boy cutthroats. We were then kidnapped by said cutthroats," Kelsey stopped and began to snigger uncontrollably.

Blankly I stared at her. "What's so funny?"

She said with a snort, "Cutthroat just sounds so weird!"

I rolled my eyes at her and prompted, "We were kidnapped and then?"

"We managed to escape them by jumping off their boats and swimming to shore." Kelsey recited while rolling her eyes as well.

I nodded. I wasn't sure that Governor Swann would buy it, but it was our only chance. "Ok," I said, "I think that should be good."

Wrinkling her face Kelsey said "I just hope we're allowed to wash off or something, I have salt all over me!"

I held my clothes protectively, "I am not getting rid of Will's clothes!"

"Did I say you had to?"

"No, but..."

"Now Mary," Waving her finger in a scolding manner, Kelsey told me, "Don't presume anything when it could come out of my mouth, got it?"

Meekly I nodded and shuffled my feet. Thankfully, Will came back then looking scrubbed and cleaned. His clean clothes were simple but nice.

"Follow me," He said as he held the door for us. Walking the streets of Port Royal was completely different in the light than it was in the evening. Dozens of men, women and children bustled about the streets.
