AN: This is a poem I wrote just after a It's based on personal experience. This is a poem about Usagi after Mamoru has just broken up with her after having strange dreams.
PAIN

The day you distanced yourself from me,
was the day I fell apart.
I no longer live in a colourful world,
and everything seems to be dark.
You walk through my world, oblivious,
caring not what damage you've done.
You've hurt me through and through,
cleansed and eliminated all of my fun.
My insides contract in anguish,
and my heart drops to my toes.
Watching you turn your head,
pains me more than you could know.
The way you shift your gaze away,
whenever I am near,
ignoring hopeful eyes and words,
pretending not to hear.
Quite often now I sadly realize
that the more firmly I resist,
the faster change, with envious claws,
extracts you from my grip.
We are different now for much has changed,
Things are only the same for an instant,
before that awkward feeling returns,
that sad, sick feeling no longer distant.
However, that one small moment,
gives me hope to continue on.
Perhaps whatever detached us,
will return again before long.
Was it I who is in the wrong?
or perhaps it was yourself.
Each day I only hope and pray,
that tomorrow will bring a better day.
