I have a beta now! So the chapters will be a lot better. I just want to thank Dark Side Of The Light Side! Following my beta's advice I changed a little in the story so it would be easier to read.
I had this story in my head and I just had to write it.
I promise I won't forget about my other story if you are reading it.
I just had to start this one. I hope you like it.

Chapter 1
Going back in time
It had been 2 years since the war against Voldemort had started. Light vs. Dark.
Thousands of people had died in these two years.
Wizards from the light side as well as from the Dark side.
But not only wizards had died. Muggles too.
This war wasn't just in magical London anymore. Muggles knew about the war.
They were fighting against Voldemort as well. But even with their help they were losing.
Voldemort was too strong. Actually Voldemort was too smart.
No one had seen the Dark Lord in more than a year.
He was clearly hiding. If no one could find him, no one could kill him, and the war wouldn't be over until the Light side died, Harry died, or Voldemort died.
It had been two long years fighting.
The Order of the Phoenix was still standing, they had suffered during the war, but the ones that were left were still fighting.
The Ministry had fallen early in the war, there was no government.
Hogwarts had been almost completely destroyed during one of the last battles 3 months ago.
The forbidden forest no longer held the fear that it had on the students of the school. It was deserted.
Even the Centaurs had long left the forest.
Every living creature or wizard that had been neutral in this war had left London to look for a new home in another country.
Death was everywhere.
This was a losing battle for both sides.
The light was clearly losing a lot of its members, even if they won there would be too much death surrounding them for it to feel like they had won.
Even if the dark side won there wouldn't be too many people, wizards or muggles left.
There would be only purebloods left, there were barely maybe 100 pureblood families, and that was saying a lot.
Only walls were left of the great castle that once was Hogwarts and even the walls had marks left from the battle.
Inside of the castle in what was once the Headmaster's office were three people standing in the middle talking to a portrait.
Not just any portrait.
Like all the portraits in the magical world, the picture moved and talked. It was almost as if the portrait was alive.
This portrait was of a man, an old man, long white beard and long white hair, tired eyes behind half moon glasses, wearing a purple robe with silver moons and stars covering the robe.
This man had been the last Headmaster of Hogwarts.
His name was Albus Dumbledore.
He had been killed in the beginning of the war by one of the people he had called a friend, Severus Snape.
Severus Snape had been a traitor after all, once a Death Eater always a Death Eater.
Snape until this moment was still alive.
Dumbledore was looking at who once were his three favorite students, he shouldn't have had favorites, but these three were special, they had stolen his heart in the years they had been students.
He had told them, they were his favorites.
Two boys. The tallest one had red hair and blue eyes, he had several scars on his face with a sad story behind each one, and the other boy tall though not as tall as the first had messy black hair and strong green eyes, this boy had scars on his face too, but one of them stood out, one that had the shape of a lightning bolt, a mark that had followed the boy through his whole life.
Between the two boys was a girl brown curly hair, he could still remember this same girl younger with bushy hair instead of just curly, this girl had brown eyes in which you could see the knowledge this girl possessed, this girl was the smartest girl he had ever met.
These three students were Ronald Weasley, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.
"Do you remember the spell Miss Granger?" Albus Dumbledore, or at least his portrait asked the young woman standing in front of him.
"Yes, Professor." Hermione was nervous about this plan, she wasn't sure it was a good idea, but she knew it was their only chance.
"I still don't understand why you want us to go back in time. Isn't supposed to be bad to change time?" Harry remembered the last and only time he had travel in time before, and it had been several years ago, back in third year with a time turner, they had saved Sirius Black that time.
"Yes Mister Potter it is bad to change time. Fate won't allow you to change anything even if you tried, you could make things even worse" If the three young people had been paying attention to their mentor, they would have seen the twinkle in Dumbledore's eyes, when he was answering Harry's question.
"Then why do you want us to go back in time?" After several months of planning, Harry still didn't understand this supposed "perfect" plan, if they couldn't change the past, why travel in time?, what could they possibly learn that could help them kill Voldemort, if they couldn't stop Him, what could they possibly learn from them?
"Mister Potter, Miss Granger, Mister Weasley, you are going to be studying history. The history of the first war to be exact. This way you can study your enemy" Albus Dumbledore was trying to make them understand why this was important, how it would help them with the war, but only Hermione was listening him and he could tell she didn't believe it would really make a difference, but she trusted him and the professor knew she was going to try. The boys, on the other hand, obviously didn't think this was going to help in any way but to make them waste time.
"So we won't be able to intervene?" Hermione knew this already since she had been helping Albus Dumbledore to make this plan possible, but she still wanted to hear her professor explain everything to her one more time.
"Yes and no Miss Granger. You will be able to intervene since is your future. But you won't change anything since it's the past." Dumbledore knew Hermione was just trying to feel sure about everything before they travel in time.
"I don't get it" Ron had been hearing how this plan was supposed to work a million times already, and he still didn't understand anything about it.
"Don't worry Mister Weasley I will explain. You will be able to intervene in everything that goes around you, you will be able to change anything you want, and so you must be careful to not die there, because if you die there you die here. But when you come back nothing will be changeā¦" Dumbledore looking at Hermione didn't finish explaining, telling her with his eyes to finish for him, he thought her explaining it would make her feel better about it.
"When we come back nothing will be change because it's in the past and the past can't be changed, everything we will live there will only exist in our memories" Hermione finished explaining to Ron.
"Exactly, Miss Granger." Dumbledore could help but feel proud about them all, they weren't friends, they were family.
"I still don't get it." Ron couldn't understand why they had to go through the plan at all.
"Look Ron. It's really simple. The only proof we will have of what we will leave in the past will be in our memories, nothing will really change, the spell won't let us change anything, so when we come back everything will be the same as how we left it" Hermione was feeling a lot more confidant than when they first entered this office, now she was actually feeling excited.
"I'm sorry Miss Granger, but it won't be the same when you come back. Time will go on, the battle will still go on without you" Albus knew it was important for them to know that time would still go by while they were in the past, he hadn't told them this before today, afraid they would be afraid of leaving.
"This is our only chance of winning?" If Harry wasn't sure about this before, now he was absolutely sure it was a very bad idea, he couldn't leave everyone behind for who knows how much time, it could be days, it could be months, even years, but he trusted Dumbledore, maybe this would really help him, and if he thought it was a waste of time they would come back immediately.
"I think it is Mister Potter, you need to know exactly who your enemy is to be able to destroy it. You have to study history, and what better way to do it than by living it." Dumbledore was talking to them as if they were in class at the moment and was trying to explain something interesting and important to his students. "Now Miss Granger, Mister Potter, Mister Weasley you have to say the spell at the same time for it to work. When you are ready to come back just say the spell again. Good Luck. I will see you in the past."
Hermione, Ron and Harry pointed their hands at the floor and said the spell at the same time.
