romantic Harry Potter stories here at fanfiction.
===============================================
The aged wizard stood over his lost love's grave remembering. They had met on the Hogwarts Express when they were both eleven years old, neither one aware of what was to take place between them. The trials and triumphs of life still in their distant futures. Tears came to the old wizards eyes, and he wiped them away. Once his eyes had been a sparkling emerald green, but time had faded them just as it had turned his once untamed black locks silver gray. The old wizard sighed, and began to speak to his beloved, his voice a soft whisper that was swiftly carried away by the early evening breeze.
"I still remember all the good times we had love. The adventures we had when we'd sneak out of the tower, the games of wizard chess, the first time you told me that you loved me, our first kiss in the astronomy tower, the pranks we'd play on the slytherins, especially The time we ran Malfoy's shorts up the flagpole while he was still wearing them. lol. Even the arguments we'd get into for no reason other than that we'd have a reason to make up later. One of my favorites is the big surprise we had for our fellow students, and the faculty at the end of year feast in seventh year. Ah, now that was an evening to remember. Somehow Dumbledore knew something was up and he told everyone that I had an announcement to make. I was shaking in my boots I was so scared, but you gave my hand a supportive squeeze, and I got through it. Most of the school cheered, all except for a few of the slytherins. No surprise there I suppose."
He wiped new tears from his eyes.
"After that the years just seemed to fly by, but you always made me happy no matter what sacrifice you had to make. You even took the fertility potion so that you could have my children. I could see that it was rough on you, especially the morning sickness, but you did it anyway, and gave me a total of six wonderful kids. They're all grown up now, of course with families of their own, but sometimes in their faces I can still see you. I've missed you since you left me, and I will continue to miss you til we are reunited again. I shouldn't be too much later though, I've been to the Dr. Can you believe it, the boy who lived, the saviour of the wizarding world whom not even Voldemort could defeat has a weak heart. Well, I've got to be going. They're expecting me back at the Burrow. See you soon love."
He gently laid a boquet of roses at the base of the head stone and slowly ambled off to catch the Knight bus home. The evening advanced and darkness began to fall. In the last light of the setting sun the words on the stone could still be read.
Here lies Ronald Weasley-Potter, beloved husband and father. May he rest in peace for eternity.
