Leo had an issue.
An issue with girls.
All the ones that he liked were way out of his league. But you couldn't blame him; his crushes were hot.
Like, really hot. Not in the same way as him, but still.
His first crush was an evil snow goddess. Not exactly a promising start, but dude, she was fine. Even if she was a bad guy.
Second crush wasn't so great either. It was his best friend's sister. But that wasn't what made it so difficult. No, she was pledged to Artemis, which meant she'd sworn of boys and went all I'm-an-eternal-maiden. But she so freaking good looking! Not to mention, she was pretty good with weapons. It sucked that she was off-limits.
Third… Well, so far, it had similar results as the others. So he meets a cute chick, daughter of Hades. Or Pluto, but they were pretty much the same thing… Not too bad; she wasn't scary or anything. But then it turned out that she was from the past and had known his grandpa. Still not awful, but kind of creepy. And she had a boyfriend. That was, like, the icing on the cake of you're-probably-never-going-to-have-a-chance-with- her. But she was pretty nice, and pretty, so he hadn't given up hope on this crush yet. So that one was still going on.
And the fourth. He was fairly sure that she looked nice, but it was kind of hard to remember what she looked like. Really nice, and actually went along with his 'Team Leo' plan. The nymph could only repeat stuff he or someone else said, but that was no big deal. She could probably write or something. But Echo was in love with the narcissistic jerk, Narcissus. Yeah. Still. Leo would've thought she would have gotten over him after dying once, but nope. She still loved him.
And that was sweet and sad and all, but kind of frustrating. Not necessarily because she liked someone else, though that was sort of cramping his style, but the guy didn't like her back. Nope, he was freaking obsessed with himself. He was surrounded by hot girls who thought he was a movie star or something and had a cool chick who liked him. But no sir-ee, he had to fawn over himself.
So yeah, Echo wasn't exactly attainable either.
For some reason, Leo kept falling for all the wrong girls.
