Lily Evans sat as she did her homework under her favorite tree by the Black Lake. She felt so peaceful watching the gentle breeze make little ripples across the water.
"Hey, Evans!"
Peace disturbed.
Lily sighed as she looked up from her homework. It was James Potter, the arrogant, pig-headed, toe-rag that she hated so much. He was walking towards her, followed by the rest of his idiot friends. They called themselves the Marauders. A stupid name for stupid boys.
There was Sirius Black, the tallest of the group, who had shaggy dark hair that was neither sloppy nor overdone. It just fell with a sort of casual elegance.
Then there was Remus Lupin, who Lily found the least annoying. He was a slim boy with sandy-blonde hair. He always seemed exhausted and his clothes always looked shabby.
And lastly, Peter Pettigrew. He was, well, odd. He didn't have the sort of confidence that the other three did. He was squat and had a horrible complexion. And there was something about him that made you feel like you need a bath. But the other three seemed to like him, and Peter just sort of followed around agreeing with everything they did or said.
"What do you want Potter?" Lily spat out.
"I just wanted to ask you-"
"No, I will not go out with you." She said in a flat tone.
"How did you now I was going to ask you that?" he said in mock surprise.
"Oh wipe that smirk off your face! Now would you and your idiot friends just bugger off and leave me alone?"
"Hey!" said Sirius. "Most People find us very lovable!" he said "insulted".
Lily scoffed, picked up her books, and started to walk away. But James would have none of that.
"But why won't you go out with me?"
Lily sighed, and responded, "You want to know why? Because you're an arrogant, pig-headed, bullying, idiotic, pretentious, childish, toe-rag!" she screamed at him, walking towards him causing him to back up, getting close to the lake with every insult she threw at him. By now he was two steps from being in the water.
"So, no?"
Lily had had enough. With one shove she pushed him into the Black Lake. She then stormed over to his friends who were laughing at their, now soaking wet, friend's misery, and pushed them all in as well.
"Did that answer your question?" she snapped at James, who was swimming and splashing water at his friends. Lily then gathered her books and walked off still steaming.
"I'll take that as a maybe!"
