Prompt: Friendship
Reconciliation
"Hi," says a brown-haired boy.
"Hello," replies a green-haired boy with a shy smile.
"You new to Rukongai, too?"
"Yes."
"How did you die?"
"I was in a war, I think."
"I'm pretty sure that's how I died, as well."
The green-haired boy feels a spark of kinship for this stranger.
"I'm Tolle," says the other boy, bowing slightly. "At least, I think that's my name."
"I don't remember my name."
"That's okay," says Tolle with a grin. "Let's be friends."
The feeling of kinship expands into an unfamiliar but pleasant warmth. His smile widens, becomes more solid.
"That sounds like it would be nice."
