Katara sat in her room thinking about what had just happened. Her and Aang had just had a really big fight because she was thinking about leaving with her dad to go home to the south pole. but she wasn't sure what to do. she remembered the way he had smiled at her and how his eyes lightened up whenever he saw her.
I know theres somthing in the wake of your smile
I get a notion from the look in your eyes yeah
she remembered when she had told him that she loved him and that he had blurted out how he loved her. They had built a love but it seemed like it was all falling apart now. She almost started crying thinking about how they had that stupid fight but she really loved him and wasn't sure if he still loved her anymore.

"Katara! Where are you?! look im really sorry just please come out!" Aang yelled. Katara had run into the forest and Aang didn't know if he could hear her or not. But he didn't care. He had heard that the Fire lord was lurking in the woods and he was worried.

She thought about the war and wondered if they should have fallen in love in the first place. What would she do if he died? maybe this was all a dream and none of it was real. "I mean who would've thought that I would have helped the Avatar. I'm just a girl" she thought.
Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile
The precious moments are all lost in the tide yeah

Katara heard a sound like footsteps. she turned around. "Aang is that you? listen Im really sorry about thinking of leaving. I don't know what came over me. I hope you can forgive me."she said. then she saw who it was. The Fire Lord. "Y-your not Aang!" she said frightened. "No Im not!" the fire lord said menacingly.

Aang heard Katara scream and ran in the direction. He soon found her lying on the scorched ground badly wounded. She didn't look like she would recover. He went into the Avatar state and glared at the man standing behind her. He ran upto him and used his earthbending to drag him into the ground. When he was sure he was dead, Aang came out of the Avatar state and ran to Katara. She was still alive, but just barely.

he held her in his arms. "Katara im sorry! Its all my fault! If I hadn't gotten mad at you, you never would have run off." He cried. She looked up at him and kissed him on his soft lips. "Its not your fault" was all she said. Then she stopped breathing. "No katara come back!" was all Aang could say through his tears
