"Agent Prentiss! Welcome aboard the ship BAU. I am your gracious captain, Penelope Garcia. Pull up a chair to my hull."

Prentiss looked around, slightly, no, very, confused. She pointed to herself, as if to say, "Me?" Garcia nodded enthusiastically and pointed to a chair. Prentiss shrugged and walked into Garcia's lair.

"Sorry for the elaborate introduction," Garcia apologized. "I forget that newbies at the BAU aren't used to me yet."

"It's fine," Prentiss said. Garcia seemed fun. She hoped to get to know everyone on the team better. She wasn't sure how well that was going to work, especially after the way Agent Gideon treated her. But Garcia seemed different. More bubbly. Nicer.

Garcia smiled. "So, tell me about yourself. I want to get to know you."

"What do you want to know?"

"Oh, anything!"

Prentiss was a little overwhelmed. "Well, I was born around here. My mother worked at a diplomat, so as a teenager, I lived overseas a lot. In a bunch of different countries. So I know a few different languages. Then I went to Georgetown for college-"

"No way! That's so cool! Did you like Georgetown?"

"Yeah. It was nice. I guess. When I went there, I thought I was much more capable than I actually was, and if my mom didn't 'secretly' give me money, I probably would have been in a lot of trouble."

"I see," Garcia nodded. This Agent Prentiss seemed interesting. Garcia supposed her past had interesting facets and nooks and crannies that she couldn't wait to find out. "So how was your first case at the BAU?"

"Interesting," Prentiss answered. "Very interesting. Gideon is an amazing profiler, but I wish he trusted me more. I could tell he didn't want me on the trip because he didn't know my abilities yet. Which is fine, just awkward for me. And Reid is just an amazing everything. Like, I can't even think of words to describe him."

Garcia giggled. "Yep, that's our Reid. Indescribable."

"Well," Prentiss said, "I should probably be getting back to my desk. I have a little bit of initiation left to do."

"Of course, of course m'lady. I shall speak to you on the tomorrow."

"See you later, Sir Penelope," Prentiss signed off. She figured Garcia would appreciate the quirky Medieval title.

"Sir Penelope…" Garcia whispered. "Sir Penelope? I kind of like it!" She grinned and spun in her chair. Having Agent Emily Prentiss around was going to be fun.
