Augustus POV.
Green grass in the distance and cement under my feet, or foot I should say. I'm standing on a basketball court in a park watching 7 or 8 little kids play basketball,I wonder how they got here, what happened in their life to get them to this place? My great love Hazel lancaster ( I called her Hazel Grace)once asked my if I believed in heaven, I told her that I believe there is some after life after our time time spent on earth? the other realm? i'm not quite sure how to put that, but I was right because here I am with an unlit cigarette hanging from my lip watching kids play basketball in some form of an after life.
Alaska POV
Does he have an unlit cigarette in his mouth? What is he doing? I am currently looking at a guy (a pretty hot guy) standing on a a basketball court with an unlit cigarette hanging from his mouth. Maybe I should go talk to him? He looks pretty young I would guess 16 or 17, I haven't really talked to many people since I arrived. Most of my time is spent thinking near a lake, I've always enjoyed being around a lake. The sound the water makes as a light wind trying to forget, but how could I forget what I did to Pudge. The three words i can't get out of my head, to be continued...to be continued...to be continued. I was extremely close to cheating on Jake, but they way I felt during Pudge and I's little make out session I had never felt with Jake. I miss Pudge. I really do.
Augustus POV
There is a girl in the distance that has been looking at me for awhile now ( I mean, yes I'm gorgeous) but this isn't that type of stare. she has black hair and looks about my age. I start looking up and down myself wondering if I have something on my clothes, but I can't find anything wrong. The girl starts walking toward me and then is standing about 2 feet away.
"Hello" I say.
"Hey" she says.
"I'm Augustus Waters"
"Nice to meet you Augustus Waters, I'm Alaska Young" she says.
