Jo March walked down the street with her dog. The sun glinted off her black sunglasses and her dog woofed.
"What was that, my boy? A road?" Jo stopped. Laurie barked and started walking.
"What would I do without you, boy?" Jo said. Suddenly a boy ran down the street and pushed Jo into the road. Laurie pulled Jo into the pavement, and then ran furiously after the boy. He jumped on the boy's back and pulled him to the ground. He started biting him and growling angrily as the terrified boy tried to run away.
"Laurie," Jo called. "Here doggy." Laurie let the boy go and walked over to his mistress. He helped her up, growled one last time at the boy and started walking. Jo smiled.
"What would I do without you, boy?"
