The Creeper
Jack Ryder couldn't stop the heavy sigh from escaping his lips. Life had become so mundane and boring. Honestly, what was a man to do?
His fingers fiddled with the patch he had replaced on his arm not too long after his escapades and joy rides post-Batman capture. His finger caught on the edge.
"Hey, Jack! Where is your costume for the company Halloween party?" Melissa, another employee at the news station questioned with a smile. She had also been hired post-Batman intervention (oh how he managed to break down his life to such small moments!) and didn't know of his... alter-persona. She was dressed up in a rather tame witch outfit compared to the rest of the female staff outfits.
He gave her an award winning grin and shrugged his shoulders. "News anchor?" He guessed. She smiled, nodded, and walked away. Again alone, Jack slouched forward.
He tipped back into his chair, pushing it up onto two legs before allowing it to crash back down to four legs.
A wicked grin crossed his face. "But of course the only thing to be!" After all, who better to be? His fingers caught on the patch again and he felt it give way as insane laughter bubbled on his lips...
