Disclaimer: I don't own Lord of the Rings. If I did, I'd be rich, not looking for a job. I might still be writing this fanfiction, if I were rich, though.
Beginnings
This certainly was a new experience for him. He had never left Hobbiton until the move to Crickhollow, and now he was preparing to go traipsing across the land to Mordor, of all places!
Well, you couldn't go to Mordor unprepared. He got up for at least the hundredth time that night to check on the supplies. He was sure he'd forgotten something. No, it was all there. Yawning, he made his way back to the bed to try to get some sleep.
They rose early the next morning, and were off quickly. He realized then what he'd forgotten: rope.
End.
Author's Note: This is my second ever drabble. (The first will not be published here.) I wrote it because I heard of the Drabbles100 challenge when reading an Anne McCaffrey fanfic. (Astrokath's Weyr Life: The Drabbles) I decided to try writing drabbles because I always write too much. I'm sorry it's so short, but apparently a drabble is supposed to be short. I'd appreciate feedback. I was trying to convey anxiety in this piece. And, guess who the character is in your review. My little sister guessed it right off, so it's not that hard, but guessing is fun. As with Truly Free, the titke is subject to change. I picked it at midnight, so it might seem strange. I chose this title because I try to get in the heads of the characters with these stories. Let me know if I did an okay job.I look forward to your reviews. Seize the Day!
