Sleepless Nights and City Lights.

The cold breeze of a casual winters night had swayed against Namine as she inhaled the frozen air. She sighed, feeling at ease. The city night of Twilight Town was never busy at this hour, although during the day time you would say quite the opposite.

Almost every night, Namine had come out around this hour and wandered about. There were many nights just like these due to her inability of being able to sleep. The blonde sighed, her colbat eyes peering around for an open place. Like expected, there was always that one place that she managed to find herself in every time she came out. Although, she never bothered checking what the name was.

Stomping her shoes on the front mattress gently, Namine examined the inside of the building. It was a cafe, small and never full, even during the day time. There was one other customer sitting off to the side, a blonde male with gravity defying spikes. His eyes were glued to his cup, which meant that she could never really get a good view of his face. She's seem him there before, though. He's been there every night that she has.

Namine stroded towards the counter where a tall, feminine looking man with pink hair greeted her with a welcoming smile. "What can I get you?" He quizzed, watching as Namine took a seat on one of the bar stools in front of him.

The blonde folded her hands, resting her chin above them. She examined the menu, shrugging in a noncommittical fashion. "Anything. Preferably something sweet." She paused, biting her lip as she slid a ten dollar bill across the counter.

"Please."

The man nodded, his back quickly faced her as he prepared her beverage. Namine rubbed her colbat eyes, turning her head slightly as she examined the male across the room. His eyes were still glued to his drink. It looked as though he hadn't moved since she first layed eyes on him. Maybe he was asleep. She continued examining the figure. Eventually, his head lifted. A pair of deep blue eyes stared back at Namine and in response, she quickly turned her head away.

"One hot chocolate with syrup and extra whipped cream." The male slid the drink over towards Namine. Her eyes lightened as she caught the beverage, taking a small sip of it as her upper lip became covered in whipped cream. "Thanks." She smiled gratefully as she licked the substance off of her mouth.

She watched the chocolate swirling around in her drink. Her head lifted up as she heard the sound of the bell of the door ding. Quickly, her head turned as she watched the males figure walk off. Namine shrugged, turning back to the employee.

"Happen to have the time?" She quizzed, consuming another portion of the hot chocolate.

"Uhhhhh." The male examined his watch. "3:39 am" He stated, grabbing a cloth and wiping the front counter down.

"Man..." Namine began. "That must suck, having to work such a late shift." She sighed, her slim digits clenching the cup.

The male nodded. Namine tilted her head to the side slightly as she examined his name. "Marluxia."

"Yeah?"

"Oh." Namine giggled. "I was just reading your tag."

"Ah." Marluxia chuckled, leaning against the counter. "And what are you doing up so late?" He quizzed, chucking the cloth over his shoulder. "You look like a student."

"Yeah." Namine paused, taking another sip. "I couldn't sleep. It's been getting really difficult lately." She said, taking one last swig of her drink before setting it down. "I should go." She smiled, leaving a small amount of extra change on the table before twirling around in her chair and hopping off.

"Take care."
