Chapter 1 – Déjà Vu.
His eyes looked lost in thought but somehow completely focused on me; they pierced through me with such intensity that it felt like he could read my mind, know every thought I had ever thought, every single detail. Eyelashes as black as coal fluttered sweetly around almond shaped eyes; nestled inside was a sparkling pool of midnight blue. You could get lost in those eyes.
He was floating above me, eyes full of concern and yearning as he watched me. Although we spoke no words, his eyes told a thousand stories; with that I knew he understood me. Somehow, for whatever reason, he knew me.
There was a slight breeze in the wind but his thick sandy brown hair failed to move with it. Then he spoke. His voice was manly but sweet, like a voice you couldn't help noticing in a room full of people, it was like a drug; I kept repeating his words over and over again inside my head…or was he repeating himself? "Leah…Leah…Don't Forget…Don't Forget…Don't Forget…" he murmured softly; then he was gone.
I was forced back abruptly; tugged and pulled from every angle. Then I lunged forward, falling…falling into nothingness. In my head I thought I wasn't going to make the fall but in my heart I knew that if I was in any real danger, he would rescue me. Somehow I knew he would protect me.
