The creatures never looked up, never took notice to the devilish creatures that tripped the sure foot and planted the ill footed into mud. Oh the life was fun. Steady now, steady. A mop of black hair with twigs and leaves scurried below him. Cute…. Lost. He lowered to a closer branch, the child had stopped, small sniffles and sobs into an overstuffed bear were not lost in the chatter of the woods. Not to him at least.
"Are you lost, m' lady?"
"N-No… Who's there?" He had to chuckle at her scanning. It was pointless if she didn't think up.
"Child, you only look around. Look up. The results will better." He hung from a branch before dropping to the floor, discovering not a child but a teen, possibly young adult. Their breed always looks so young.
"Don't touch me or… or I shall scream to bloody Mary and hell!"
Odd words. "Only the birds and bees will here you, dear. No Mary to scream to child." He chuckled as he leaned against the tree she was backed against.
"It is an expression. D-Don't touch me still…. I am no fun, I promise!" Her eyes screamed fear. Had amber ever screamed fear in his people? No.
"I doubt one would care for you to be fun. I don't care to touch your kind." Was she daft? An elf touching that.
"No reason to be so crude! And my kind? What are you? A pixie?" Hands on hips the amber burned as it should. Amber should always burn.
"No you wretch. Insulting a high bred elf such as myself shall lead to imprisonment." A slave. How nice would that be.
He grabbed her frame and tugged her with him. Her weak defense was nothing to hardened elves that fought as his blood did.
